I loved the spectacular serene location and the work of Eleni who almost single handedly provided the guests with every comfort she could. The owner of the Pensione, Voula, was very grateful to have her working for her all these years.
In addition Eleni invited me to her own home and drove me down to the Port to catch my Ferry back to Athens.

If you go to Ikaria Agios Kirykos is a great place to base yourself if you don't have a car. There are a few buses in the day that will bring you to villages around the island and back, and a boat that will you to Therma and back at least every half hour, and there's another boat that will bring you Magganitis some days but that boat won't bring you back to Agios Kirykos, you can get a taxi from Magganitis back to Agios Kirykos though for around €30. There are tons of great restaurants, cafes and bars around and the area is just gorgeous. Ikaria is a great island to get away from touristy things and has so many different places to explore

Food was extremely affordable, the village itself had a lot to see and had everything you need. Friendliest people you’ll ever meet! It is 5/10 minutes away from a lovely beach called Therma. At night the bars are packed and a club is just down the road. The village is ‘happening’ right until the early hours of the morning. It is also extremely safe!
Good communication, good location, very friendly staff. Melissa is super nice and friendly and accommodating. Strong A/C.
Perfectly located: in the center of Therma a 5 min cab or bus ride from ferry dock.
Hotel is in walking distance (200 yards) to the famous hot tub and the beach. Lovely swimming and snorkeling, with swimming access to the hot tub. Which is really hot, sourcing heat from rocks in the back of the hot tub. You enjoy a natural hot tub on top of an inactive volcano - absolutely stunning!!
Incredíble view of bay & village, the coastline beyond, distant islands. Fantastic sunrise. GREAT balcony (only some rooms--ours did.) Sweet patio with wonderful view, cables & chairs --social or solitary as desired. Three different hot springs locations just a few steps away. Excellent swimming entry right from hotel. Many cafés and a few shops just a few feet away. Fins and snorkle rental available, although we brought our own. Wonderfully friendly and helpful owner. This place is an incredible treasure.
Akti is the perfect place to stay in ikaria! Location is perfect, right in center of the island, one of the only places where the bus take you from the airport and there's also a port - probably the most accessible place in the area. The hotel has its own coffee/bar with delicious food and opened until 2am, so you always have facilities. And most of all: the owners are SO nice! They'll take care of you as you're part of the family, you feel helped, welcome, and have great laughs! Recommend so much ♡
The owner is super lovely and helpful and the hotel is great: close to the thermal springs and the cute little town of Therme. It is quite sleepy but a great place to stay if you want to get away from the crowds and have mostly Greek people around you. Ikaria is a spectacular island not overrun by tourists. The room is spacious and the water pressure is good. It's serene and tranquil, just what I needed for my holiday. The owner also picked me up from the airport, which was very nice of him.
Very close to the famous beach and spring of Therma, this was by far the best hotel in the area. My room was very clean (cleaned every day) with a very comfortable bed, air-conditioning, quiet with a great wi-fi connection, fantastic views of the mountains from my balcony, and a superb breakfast for 5 Euros only! The owner, Alithini was one of the best hostesses I have met in the 57 Greek islands I have visited over the last 30 years. I am definitely coming back!!
The hotel is a walking distance to the thermal baths. The owners are wonderful people, they provided my sister-in-law an i with everything we needed during our stay. We stayed in this hotel for 13 days and it felt as if we were among family. the room and the hotel are spotless clean, the property has an elevator.
If you are going to agios kyrikos , this is a great place to stay. It is on a quiet street, but only a 10 minute walk from The center of town. The hotel is spotlessly clean, the staff is super accommodating. They serve a nice continental breakfast & we get anything else you want. Couldn’t be happier!
The beds were very comfortable. We asked for extra pillows which made our sleep more comfortable. Wonderful garden view, quietness, great location and kind hosts. All these things made our stay super pleasant. We will definitely return to Rena hotel next time we come to Therma.
Location! Directly above the thermal cave, stunning sea & village views.charming well appointed rooms with crispy white linen. Small boutique hotel feel with spacious terrace to enjoy daily breakfasts or sip on your self catered F&B. Community feel amongst other guests.
This place was truly amazing! Such a traditional feeling with modern amenities. The views are the best on the island. I’ve been to Ikaria few times before and this hotel is my favorite part of the island so far. Cant wait to come back!
The location is beautiful and close to the town of Ayios Kyrikos if you have a car.
The property is beautiful and the idea behind the “resort” style hotel is good.
The room was comfortable.
The lady preparing breakfast was pleasant.
It was our second time in this little sweet hotel. The location is good, right in front of Therma beach. It’s a simple clean hotel but you need nothing more than that!
