Nusa Penida is hard enough to get to by the time you buy boat tickets, get to the harbour, wait around, board a small hot fast boat and getting off the other end you need a driver to collect you as its busy, dusty and hot. You want to get off that boat and into an air-conditioned car straight away and be taken to your hotel. The island is beautiful; however, you will need a scooter, a car or driver. Its isolated and unless you love walking in the heat long distances you will need transport to see the sights. The night life is quiet, I think it's an island of relaxing and day adventures with not a lot of activity at night from what i saw.MitchellAustralia - 10Scored 10

We rented a driver for 2 days and he took us to the tourist spots. The road is very small and curvy but our driver was good. The views were amazing. They also clean everyday. Bathroom is really nice, bed was comfy. Pool has amazing view like in the photos. They have a restaurant which is really comfortable in this remote island. Restaurant also has nice chill chairs infront of the sea which is amazing for sunset time. Close to east side attractions of the island. For west side its gonna be 1h but that's OK if you take that into calculation.

It’s a beautiful jungle oasis, so peaceful and yet still only a 30 minute scooter road to most of the attractions. The person in charge, Wayan, is always so friendly and helpful. He arranged a lift for us to and from the harbour, scooter hire, manta ray snorkelling tour, and delicious food from the hotel restaurant (the fried rice is so good!) Would definitely recommend staying here to anyone visiting the beautiful island of Nusa Penida.

The family provided free pick-up and drop off at the harbour as well as to restaurants in the area. Leonk also arranged scooter driver for sightseeing the island at a reasonable charge. I highly recommend staying at Sawit Garden Cottages on your next visit to Nusa Penida.
