Beijing is a city where people are very friendly and hospitable. People often do not speak English, but they often use a mobile translator and try to help. The architecture of the center of Beijing, in my opinion, is a must-see. The food is very cheap and the choice is huge. I was far from the business center and was not afraid at all. It is a very safe country to travel. Moreover, a bus ride costs only 2 yuan, and the subway only 4-6 yuan.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

From the warm welcome offered by most staff and the ample parking facilities, to the overall comfortable accommodations, I was quite satisfied with my stay. However, the somewhat distant attitude of a few front desk employees stood out. A consistent level of friendliness across all team members would truly elevate the entire experience.”Guest review byHyeonwooSouth Korea - 10.0
A modern city and yet the pace is not as hurried as others.
A modern city and yet the pace is not as hurried as others. Clean, pretty and convenient to move around. Nice museums (Art, History, Natural History) and an impressive public library next to the museum, in addition to the historic districts that many tourist agencies rave about.Guest review byAndyHong Kong - 10.0
It's best for the great wall.
It's best for the great wall. I recommend going to simatai for the sunset, jinshanling for the awe inspiring views and panlong for the untamed wild serenity. To get to panlong, you need to didi or get a car to the bottom, then pay 25rmb to get in. Once at the top, turn right (east). You have to come back the way you came(apparently there is another way down but we couldn't find it). Wear sensible shoes. Miyun isn't easy to get around. Factor in the price of hiring a car into your trip.Guest review byBecca LUnited Kingdom - 10.0

We came here specifically to see The Great Wall that ends in the ocean. First time my husband visited it ended in the ocean. There was no beach. The original wall is now encased as it is very deteriorated. An interesting site for sure.Guest review byBRUCEUnited States - 10.0
Beijing is a city that deserves to be explored without...
Beijing is a city that deserves to be explored without rushing. Steeped in thousands of years of history and tradition, it offers an endless list of stories waiting to be discovered. To truly take it all in, plan for at least a full week — anything less will feel like you’re just scratching the surface. Here, you’ll find a world-class food scene, efficient public transportation, and a fascinating mix of imperial landmarks and futuristic architecture. From the grandeur of the Forbidden City to the shimmering skylines of its business districts, every corner tells a different story. That said, the city is still growing into its role as a truly international destination. Roughly 99% of basic information — from transport signs to menus and attraction details — is available only in Chinese. Locals, while respectful, can feel a bit distant and may seem impatient with foreign visitors. To fully enjoy Beijing without stress, a few essentials are non-negotiable: Alipay linked to your credit card — the go-to payment method for almost everything. A good VPN like Hola Fly to stay connected with the outside world. A high-capacity power bank to keep your phone charged while navigating the city. With these three tools, you can unlock the very best of China’s capital — a destination where the past and future meet in the most spectacular way.Guest review byFernandoColombia - 8.0

The ability of the receptionist to communicate to me in English was very professional. The Chef was very very friendly knowing that i was of African decent, he made me feel at home by taking me round and giving me insight of every single food served. All this was on the 31st December evening. He became my family on the night.Guest review byTaylor - 10.0

Tianjin is very underrated, and at just 30 minutes from Beijing I think it should be more popular. The river, the foreign concessions, and the modern buildings inspired by them, make the city feel very European, and we love wandering around the foreign concessions and the streets of the Wudadao area, getting coffee in the many different cafes. There's also Ancient Culture Street, which isn't ancient but has plenty of culture, the China House which is amazing to see from the outside (haven't been inside yet), the Confucius Temple, the Tianjin Eye, walks along the riverbank... lots to see and do here!Guest review byNic in ChinaChina - 10.0

I only saw the area around the Sheraton hotel. I would love to come back in the summer. There is a wonderful Olympic Park, many quaint restaurants, a brilliant night market and lovely treed streets to walk around and admire a different style of China.Guest review byStephen MCAtamneyChina - 10.0
