Didn't have time to explore Kimberly.
Didn't have time to explore Kimberly. However the mall and shopping centre's were great as it was conveniently located close to the Lodge and we found everything we were looking for very easily. KGuest review byDesmondSouth Africa - 8.0
How did you manage to turn Colesberg around ?
How did you manage to turn Colesberg around ? Last year we were so dissapointed. Streets were full of litter, street lights out and drunk people everwhere. This year we were so impressed. Streets are clean and clearly lit up, no loitering. Murray House is a must for a traveller wanting to stay over and nothing can beat eating at The Plattelander. WELL DONE Colesberg!Guest review byMüller - 8.0

The room offers a conducive peaceful sleep after a long day. The bed provides the necessary comfort. The small fridge allows storage of your drinks. The Aircon and TV Create add value for sufficient rest. HOWEVER, the toilet should have Air Freshners. The Curtains are transparent and when the lights are ON, a person can see your image in the room.Guest review byMbhungana - 6.0

Our guys go up on a regular basis for work and are super impressed with everything. Clean rooms, comfortable beds, everything in working order. Their only complaint is that they cannot spend too much time in the garden as they are in Kuruman to work! Other than that, they really enjoy it. Perfect place for a work crew.Guest review byMariaSouth Africa - 6.0
Very basic industrial town, not pretty at all.
Very basic industrial town, not pretty at all. There are some facilities and the town and gym, as well as malls have developed over time, but the cleanliness and general feeling of being safe in the town is not what you would expect from smaller remote towns.Guest review byJusteneSouth Africa - 10.0
Kamieskroon is a very small town.
Kamieskroon is a very small town. You can walk through the town. They do have a small shop for necessities and fresh bread and cooldrinks. They have a butchery and a liquor store. We had breakfast and dinner at Harry's Guesthouse where we enjoyed our stay for 3 nights. We droved through the Skilpad reserve nearby and we had lunch at Murasie. I do recommend their roosterkoek. We took a daytrip to Springbok using the N7 and there we went to the Goegap nature reserve. You can do daytrips to nearby smaller towns from Kamieskroon, but I do recommend a 4x4 vehicle due to the condition of the gravel road.Guest review byAnonymousSouth Africa - 10.0

The National Park is exceptional, as most National Parks are in South Africa. The curio shop was quaint and not too highly priced. Although the area experienced much rain, we could get around comfortably with our SUV. We had a good lunch at the restaurant. Service was excellent and friendly. We especially enjoyed the information and photos of previous floods at the main offices. The viewing areas were well-maintained even though some paths were closed for renovation. We still managed to see everything. Typically, one should spend about 20 minutes or more per viewing area in order to capture the beauty and tranquility of the park.Guest review byElaineSouth Africa - 8.0
Excellent service from the Blue Moon and Boorgat.
Excellent service from the Blue Moon and Boorgat. Shocking service at the SAAO - what a missed opportunity, with a facility as significant as that, juxtaposed with people who are customer facing that make little effort, bordering on being dismissive of tourists.Guest review byMarkSouth Africa - 6.0

Sadly most of the Karoo towns we passed through are reflect the poverty and neglect of the Northern Cape with deteriorating infrastructure and litter everywhere. Sad to see this beautiful part of our country being forgotten by the National Government.Guest review byKim
