Amazing location. Breakfast was sufficient. The workers at the spa were fantastic. UPDATE to original review: A few days after this review a representative of the hotel chain's CEO called me to discuss my review. To her credit, she listened to my story and even verified the facts with her staff. She said she was sorry and they definitely made mistakes. She tried offering me a pool day pass as compensation (why would I want to go back to the place I just had a terrible experience?). I asked for a refund instead. She said the CEO refused to discuss it. Finally when she offered a free night at their other hotel, after hours of back and forth. I finally said "OK" just to end the saga. BUT WAIT! Now she tells me there's a catch! She said the CEO told her she could only give the compensation if I would change or remove my bad review. I was shocked. I told her I could not and would not do that and I was shocked she would ask me to do something so unethical. She doubled down on her stance that her previous offer was now conditional. Only after I told her I would be filing a report with Booking (its clearly against their terms to try and influence reviews), with the ministry of economy, and potentially filing a claim in small claims court about an hour later she came back and said its OK I don't have to change my review but then at the same time she has blocked me and never event sent me the voucher!

    Netanya is beautiful.

Netanya is beautiful. The food is excellent and the spice shops were amazing. I loved how pedestrian oriented Netanya is to everyone. I was in Netanya to visit my sick mother so I was not there as a tourist. The pastry shops were fabulous and I loved the first mall in Netanya. The silver work, dead sea products and the spices I brought back to Alaska were wonderful.

I have stayed several times in various parts of Petakh Tikva and have found it to be a convenient and interesting place to stay. Parking and traffic are noticeably easier in Tel Aviv. I don't know about the bus service, since I was driving, but it's quite easy to get to either of two train stations, where there's plenty of parking and comfortable and convenient trains to Tel Aviv and other parts of the country.

We booked netanya It was closest to the organization for whom we were doing volunteer work As well as some to rest beside the sea Aside from that, there was not a lot to do in Maya for us There is a nice from sidewalk looking out onto the sea, and there are many spots to sit and rest and cup of coffee and a dessert

    I was given early check-in.

I was given early check-in. There was a shuttle to the airport but you have to take a taxi there and that is expensive since the hotel is nowhere near the airport. No food is served on Shabbat and there is nowhere near to eat. The hotel looks more like a basic moderately priced hotel with no extras. The outside ' patio' is basically for smokers. The bedding smelled so strongly of floral perfume that it was hard to sleep. I wouldn't stay there again.

Netanya is a great beach town and quieter than Tel Aviv.

Netanya is a great beach town and quieter than Tel Aviv. It has a pedestrian area downtown around Kikar Ha'Atzmaut with lots of great cafes, bakeries, ice cream, crepes and more. Fountain for little kids to jump in. Also some great restaurant establishments. The beaches are overlooking a cliff. Some beaches have access to an elevator to go down and some you need to take a lot of stairs. One of my favorite places/cities in Israel!

Petach Tikva is about 40 minutes outside of Tel Aviv, if going by car and considering traffic. Public transportation will take you longer. Not really alot to do here, though there is an area with some lively bars and good restaurants. It's alot cheaper than staying in hotels in the major cities so it's a good alternative.
