PolandA perfect place for a couple, especially if you have a car (on the other hand, you may reach Vichten with a public bus which is, of course, free in Luxembourg).
The room is very spacious, clean, well-equipped (including a coffee machine), the area is quiet, there is a balcony. There is a bakery and a grocer's store in the same building. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
To sum up, we really recommend the hotel. We liked it so much that we came back here once again a few days later. You will not regret it either!

United KingdomThis hotel is just stunning inside and out, I prefer smaller private hotels to large chains, and this one was perfect.
We were travelling by motorcylce and this Hotel had a garage for them which is always a bonus, although I suspect you could park any vehicle in the centre of Vianden with they keys in the ignition and it would still be there the next day (Note: I do not take responsibility if anyone decides to test this theory)
The apperance of the Hotel is stunning inside and out, and the rooms are really nice, and I would imagine very one a slightly different size and shape due to the nature of the building, but it seems a lot of thought has been put into making them nice.
When we arrived @7PM it was packed with people eating, and made where to eat an easy decision as the food looked great - and was. The staff were excellent, getting us checked in quickly and opening the garage for us to store the motorbikes.
It is only a short walk into the town centre where there are many shops, cafes and restaurants, and the Hotel is just beneath the Castle so perfectly places for tourist activities.
Cannot comment on breakfast as the Hotel was closed the day after our stay, but there is a bakery just down the hill and we were told we could chekc out whenever we liked, so we wandred down to the Bakery and brought food back to eat at Hotel.
We will definately be returning.

The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic.
The chateau museum, exhibition and tour was fantastic. Highly recommend taking the time to see the exhibition before touring the chateau. We also took the chairlift up to the high viewing point and had a few drinks. Not the cheapest but nowhere in Luxembourg is cheap. The views were great and it was worth the trip. We also visited the newly refurbished open air swimming pool which the kids loved and added a bit of relaxation to the trip. It was very clean and well maintained. Small town with a few nice places to eat. We only go here for the mountain bike race each year. So we eat in the town and buy things at the local shops. People cannot visit the castle but there are two expositions: one about Second World War (not my favorite topic) and the other about castles in Luxembourg. Luxemburg is just beautiful and every aspect (infrastructure, houses, shops) has a high quality of living/maintenance. I enjoy nature there, with the beautiful hills, and people there are always friendly. Wilz. What a disappointment.
Wilz. What a disappointment. For such a large town in the Ardenne with all its great country trails and forests around, the town has little to offer except being a base to sleep. It feels very functional and food choices ae limited. It's high spots are the chateau grounds and its Battle of Bulge museum, some other gardens and a memorial tower, but plan for less than 1/2 day. Sports facilities are a plus point too - not that you'll need extra fitness - streets are steep. For one solid memory, head west out of town to the National liberation memorial at the Schumanns Eck crossroads. It recognises the allies liberation of the area in late 1944-45 through a 3km installation trail of 65 life-size silhouettes images of real US and German soldiers and civilians present during the Ardennes offensive. We want to thank Olivier for the help he give when my partner was falling from the stairs outside in the evening and Olivier called the ambulance and take care for my partner all the time. Also Olivier is a great doglover and he give our dog some special dogfood, that was a nice surprise for our dog . all the staff are so friendly and nothing is to much for them if you want something.
