That was the second time we stayed at this apartment, so not surprised by how clean, decorated with good taste and well maintained it was. What positively surprised us was how the hosts went the extra 10 miles, when a totally unrelated to them and the apartment issue came up after our checkout. They used their network, their home, and spent half of their Sunday figuring out how to help us out. Without their help, we would have spent at least 2-3 days figuring out what to do in a foreign country. The word Superhosts suddenly got meaning for us. Thanks for everything!

The place was amazing. The host was really lovely and friendly. Everything was clean, and it just felt like a loving apartment. We were welcomed by a warm and clean house. The bed was so soft and comfortable. The kitchen soo clean and modern. And most importantly, the bathroom...amazing. Love the bathtub, and we had enough supplies from towels, toilet paper to shower gel, and heater.

    Remarkable town.

    Remarkable town. Busy, growing, a Mecca for entrepreneurs and established businesses, etc. Being located in an agricultural dominated environment - it offers much more than ones would expect: a folklore festival every year - called "Vinkovacke Jeseni". A must see! Also, excellent food with local recipes and ingrediencies. And ... a rich history reaching back to the Roman Empire.

    Small town.

    Small town. Well located to get to the Croatia / Serbia border early in the morning. Nice square and a pedestrian area with a good number of bars / coffee shops. Not a great deal to entertain you in this area, unless you’re into hiking or bike riding

    A small town typical of the Balkans with a river crossing...

    A small town typical of the Balkans with a river crossing the village. There are dozens of cafes and restaurants in the city center. A convenient place to stay overnight if passing through the area. Note that not all locals are hospitable. We recommend avoiding the restaurant LU even though it is very cozy. The staff purposefully avoided us for 40 minutes probably because we didn't speak their language. We ended up not being able to dine there and missed all the other restaurants. We still managed to have a few beers near the river at Caffe bar Medusa where the staff were very nice and welcoming.
