    A typical Sumatran city.

    A typical Sumatran city. Overcrowded, dirty, largely derelict, and poorly maintained. Not a place to stay in for long, it seems to me. Wisely, l was just passing through so I have no idea of the local "attractions", but I doubt whether there are any. Getting around is best achieved on the back of a Gojek bike.

    Visited this place becouse of the family in dessa natar. Cabs very cheap. People very friendly. Surrondings beautiful. There is a national park. City itself i did not want to go...a lot of traffic, everything looks grey...

    Bandat Lampung is a really interesting town and this was a great place to base yourself to explore it. The hosts are exceptionally helpful and the little cafe they run, appropriately called Hidden Gem, was a real find. Maybe the best coffee in my limited experience of Indonesia. They have a range of places of different sized rooms, so make sure you ask about the one that best suits.

    Spacious room, big bed, all necessary equipment including kettle (absolute necessity for families with a baby) and hairdryer. The swimming pool is very well located at the core of the hotel. Also from the lobby a direct access to the mall center (Mall Boemi Kedaton). Only a few mins by car from the Lampung Museum. The hotel service is excellent and very professional.

    Breakfast has lots of options from fruits and cereals to full meals. Staff always at your service, and as I like to wander around the city the location is a 30 minute walk from Lungsir (Taman Kota) - an open square/park which is a central gathering place in the evenings. The lobby of the oldest hotel in town is just magnificent!
