Nice town but only a couple of places of interest: The Zorn Museum and the ski museum. The ski museum was closed. Decent restaurants especially 'The Pub' which served a very good inexpensive buffet.Guest review byMatthew SampleUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Rattvik is a small town with lovely bars and restaurants.
Rattvik is a small town with lovely bars and restaurants. The lakeside area is beautiful and plenty to do around the lake area either walking down the long pier or enjoying the beach or swimming. Weather was amazing during our stay.Guest review byHelenUnited Kingdom - 10.0
Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan.
Beautiful location overlooking Lake Siljan. There is safe access to the water at the lakeside. Tallberg comprises mainly hotels and private residences so there is not a lot to do there, but it is extremely relaxing and probably much busier in high season. June is a great time to visit. Road links to nearby Rattvik and Leksand are good and there are many restaurants and shops in both towns. Rattvik is a lively place. Tallberg is an ideal base to explore the Dallarnas region and not far to pop into Norway should you chooseGuest review byIanUnited Kingdom - 4.0
Room too small . No hot water.
Room too small . No hot water. Night tables at the beds very small. Bed very slippery and small. Difficult and sophisticate lamps in the room that you can not find how to switch them on-off. No light on balcony in the evening (controlled by them). Balconies moulded and need painting. Dinner was a disaster. Bad menu description and incomplete ; and very expensive dishes for so little food and particularly for a cold dish ( which is not mentioned in the menu). Wine prices 3 times higher than market price.Guest review byAndersSweden - 10.0
We could have stayed another day.
We could have stayed another day. Relaxing summer vacation town. Clean well kept. Quirky shops. Enough food places to offer choice. No fast food outlets which was great. Lovely little Asian restaurant up a side street offered buffet . People queuing for a seat. Brilliant pop up bar with food just outside station. Cinema thought we did not see it. Super helpful tourist information centre. Walkable area . More than suitable for wheelchair users or people with reduced mobility. Cannot recommend this town highly enough. We only stayed two nights . That was planned . Went to a fab concert in Dalhalla nearbyGuest review byLindaUnited Kingdom - 4.0

No reference in booking guide that ONLY tapas(grossly overpriced) were served for evening meal. You had to eat at 5pm or 8.15. After first (and only) course we decided to drive back to town 12kms to get some proper food. No management of any sort to be seen. Place seemed to be run by kind, well intentioned, students. Woodwork rotting on balcony of room 212! never again. Does not take AE although reservation was confirmed on AE card in your detailsGuest review byCharles AnthonyPortugal - 10.0
Nice small town at the lake. Good beach with shallow water.
Nice small town at the lake. Good beach with shallow water. You can hike, swim, paddle...Good store with a wide range of regional products. Nice restaurants and cafés - the Green Café at the station also has a local arts exhibition. Easy to reach from Stockholm and to discover the area by public transport, train or bus. For example, Mora with its Anders Zorn museum, Nusnäs with the dala horse production, or the shop of the traditional weavery at Insjön.Guest review byChristineGermany - 10.0

It is a really nice place. It is very quiet and calm. The early morning sounds of birds and nature are really mesmerizing. This place has very beautiful scenery that can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.Guest review byMojeebSweden
