- From $149.29 per nightScored out of 10, guest rating 8.0Very Good - What previous guests thought, 1,346 reviewsWe stayed at Mediterraneo Bay for the third time in May -25, and we will be coming back again because we can't get enough of this excellent hotel. The price is very reasonable, especially in spring and fall The room is spacious and has a nice design. Our kids love the huge pool area, and the meals are delicious and with a huge variety of different dishes to all tastes. What more can one want from a place like this?Guest review byEmmiNorway
- Scored out of 10, guest rating 9.3Wonderful - What previous guests thought, 48 reviewsEverything! This is a very special place and would definitely return. Massage with Maria Angel excellent, amazing breakfast served on our terrace every morning (worth every penny of the extra cost). Gorgeous pool and views. A short drive to Agua Amarga for beach and restaurants, but delight to return to after. Eclectic furnishings, large fully stocked kitchen, robes and wonderful long Arabic shirts for the pool.Guest review byRebeccaNorway

Almeria was so unexpected we have passed through on many occasions and didn't realise what we were missing. The people of Almeria are among the friendliest I have ever met in a City or anywhere for that matter. We can not wait to return and explore as much as we can. Because of our circumstances we mainly ate in the hotel. But we did on several occasions eat out. There is a very good Asian and a very good Spanish restaurant very close by and a lovely friendly cafe across the road from the hotel. For those like fast food the 5min walk to the Mediterranean Shopping Centre would make you very happy. There is an excellent bus service to travel around the city.Guest review byPrentice - 6.0

Great apartment but you need to get a taxi to town and they are few and far between there is a bus that comes every half an hour but not all night. The apartment in a development with two pools however there are no beds and you will need to buy your own bed if you want to sunbathe there the only other option is to go the beach club but that will cost you 25 euros per day. There is no safe but apart from that it is a bright modern apartmentGuest review byAndreaUnited Kingdom - 4.0

Overall it was not what we thought..as we were there in August there was a slight problem with getting parked near the amenities..the terraced villas are a little worn and really need upgrading now that a new modern complex is being built next door.Guest review byAlanSpain - 8.0

Aguadulce is a nice district; the hotel is not far from a supermarket, not far from the beach and not far from a taxi stand to go to airport of Almeria. The road which leads from Almeria to Aguadulce is in very good conditions. The Tourist Office is very helpful. The park is clean, well kept and has very interesting tropical and hot weather plants and flowers. There is plenty to explore if one wishes to move around... bars and cafeterias have a good variety of offerings.Guest review byElisabettaUnited States - 8.0
Really lovely location Quiet
Really lovely location Quiet Good local bars/restaurants even in November Long beach to walk along Quaint squares with children's playgrounds and bars etc Easy to walk around, downhill to the beach, then flat rest of the way Parking limited, but we didn't have a problem Quite a lot of steps plus handrails, for better views Nearest bar, downhill, was excellentGuest review byAnonymous - 6.0

So far as I could tell, Retamar is a tourist urbanization consisting mostly of hotels; a golf course and miles of beachfront. There were one or two retail outlets, such as corner shops or pharmacies, but there did not seem very much there to get stuck into. Hiring a car might be advisable if you want to get out and see something interesting.Guest review byAnonymous - 8.0

Fab bars and restaurants, reasonably priced, friendly staff everywhere we went. Great walks, close enough to walk to Agua Amarga through the countryside - about 7km. Good location to visit the rest of Cabo de Gata. Good shops.Guest review bySarah StreeterSpain - 10.0
The area is lovely, clean and very well presented.
The area is lovely, clean and very well presented. We were there for the night of San Juan fiesta and noticed that there was no rubbish anywhere, hundreds of people enjoying themselves. The rubbish bins were full but people still placed their rubbish at the bin area. We went to the port and found a delightful restaurant called 'Marios' it was a lovely experience, friendly staff and tasty food. There are lots of bars to choose from.Guest review byEtticutSpain - 10.0
Las Negras is a small and unspoiled village.
Las Negras is a small and unspoiled village. Everyone was welcoming and friendly and although it was predominantly Spanish speaking, communication was relatively easy. There is plenty to do around the immediate area of Las Negras with unspoilt beaches and water based activities but we also enjoyed trips to Almeria, Carboneras and Mojacar, all of which are worth seeing. We had a really lovely time.Guest review byAnneUnited Kingdom - 10.0
San Juan is beautiful.
San Juan is beautiful. We particularly liked the chiringuitos on the beach front where we ate lunch and enjoyed drinks. The beach is beautiful and has a chiringuito on it which serves good cocktails as well as other drinks along with food also. We ate at two lovely restaurants in the evening (Puerta Nueva and Gemva) both of which were very good and not over priced. We had breakfast at Dulce Gusto which was very enjoyable and in beautiful surroundings. Some restaurants provide a take away service which is a good option if you are self catering. San Juan is easy to get around with lots of walking on the the flat. There are an abundance of restaurants and bars and a shopping centre is being currently built.Guest review bySuzanneUnited Kingdom
