Admont is a beautiful tranquil town in Styria, Austria. It’s best known for its picturesque Benedictine Abbey and its opulent baroque library. The town is an excellent starting point for all nature and hiking lovers. In the vicinity of the town is a beautiful castle – Röthelstein with views on the town and abbey. Also the Gesäuse National Park is near the town.

Our room, in one of the round towers, was large with many windows to spectacular views of the countryside below and mountains beyond. The bathroom and room were very clean. The hot water took some time to come through. Would definitely recommend just on the scenic location and being able to stay in a castle!
