I don't really understand the bad reviews. The hotel is indeed simple, but for its price, it is very good. We had the suite, which was big and comfortable. The people working in the hotel are nice. The breakfast is OK. The rooms have cheaper furniture, which looks noble. We felt ourselves well and we come back again, if we are around and want to save on accommodation.
Featuring a charming courtyard and a restaurant with local cuisine, the Banderium Hotel can be found in the very heart of Komarno. Free Wi-Fi and free parking are available.

Super friendly staff, great location and lovely room. There was also a secure place to store our bikes while we stayed at the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay!

This is a great place very close to the main walking streets. The room is spacious and comfortable. At the bottom of the stairs is a kitchenette with water kettle, microwave etc., and a covered seating area outside. As an attraction, there's a salt-walled/floored relaxation room downstairs. Wifi is very good, and the landlord and staff all very nice and helpful.

I really enjoyed my stay at this place. It was practical, convenient, comfortable, and close to many relevant places: within a very short walk to the main walking streets and the city center, the bridge leading across the Danube, and there's a park just outside and the very good Europa Hotel Restaurant not much further either. The park also contains the excellent kombibike pick-up/deposit point, where you can rent regular and ebikes at extremely affordable rates. The host is also very nice, and there is a cafe/restaurant downstairs for breakfast, lunch etc. Wifi reception is also very good. Rooms are equipped with everything you need. Excellent value for money.

I enjoyed staying in Komarno, as it is generally a lovely town, with an excellent location, with nice history, very tasty food and excellent weather. People are friendly and helpful and there are various things to do including visiting various hot and cold mineral spring baths which are very healthy. I highly recommend visiting Komarno and same time other close by towns in Slovakia and Hungary.

Very green, small but lovely city center, walks along the river Danube or kilometres of cycling path heading north along the river Vah. The city fortress, long abandoned and needing some reconstruction, but spectacular to walk through.

It's bigger than I expected.
It's bigger than I expected. The pedestrian zone is long enough for a nice stroll, and it is decorated and designed with style. There are lots of trees and flowers.
All the shops are closed at 17h.
But we had some lovely time there.

Komárno, SK is a chill little town, lots of history, connected via a bridge over the River Danube to Komárom, HU, which is also a nice place to visit. So you get two cool towns in two diferent countries for the price of one.

Komarno is a little gem of a historic town on the banks of the Danube. We enjoyed walking around the old streets and taking in the sights. We went on a tour of the fortresses and learned quite a bit about the strategic importance of this place throughout history.
The Courtyard of Europe is fun to walk around and try to guess which building is representing which country! There are also quite a few park areas to simply sit and relax and enjoy a delicious gelato.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Full entertainment for teenagers: bowling alley, giant fitness center next door, pool. Courtyard makes it easy to mix with fellow travellers.
The place is such a knock out. An old monastery with its own bowling alley in the nave and the coolest of salons. Plus a bombproof bunker many meters underneath the bowling alley.
The place is so singular it makes up for minor shortcomings.
First of all, the location, in Slovakia, close to The Gyor Hungarian Highway(&free parking) in a quiet place, with fresh cool air in the evenings, a pleasant garden with serving dinner outside, a nice and ready to help personnel, comfortable rooms with air conditioning, an attractive menu at the restaurant, good and tasty free breakfast, free and good WIFI.
Look...We wanted a relaxing stay and we like business hotels. This ticks the boxes. Very comfy bed. Very clean. Very friendly and efficient staff. We had a couple of problems which were sorted out quickly and professionally. Decent breakfast. The hotel is very central. Would recommend it and we would definitely stay here again.
The staff was very helpful. The room was the perfect size for me and the bathroom was quite modern-looking.
The last day I had an issue with my door-key and I had it sorted out in no time.
The restaurant connected to the hotel has a good selection and their breakfast offer - although a bit limited - perfectly covers a good range.
It still could be the best place to stay in Komarno and after the problems are solved it will be. The property has great potential, it is modern and recently remodeled. We appreciate that the place was quiet since 9pm and no noise from the street during the night. We mainly used it to relax between trips in the nearby attractions.
I loved my stay at the Hotel Peklo. Did not know what to expect from an establishment with a picture of Gerard Depardieu on the website and a name that translates to hell. Clean facilities. Unbelievably friendly staff. Excellent food. Loved running on the Danube each morning.
Absolutely charming vintage hotel. Very large rooms. Restaurant and bar are great. This place exceeded my expectations. Private courtyard and garage for bicycle parking. Great helpful staff. Landscaping and gardens are beautiful.
super crazy hotel, but I am. world-cyclist right now in winter in Europe, the hotel was completely empty - I cannot expect any super-service! The hotel is just very practical for cyclists and the bicycle is safe!!!!
The hotel is new and with modern equipment.
Restaurant is amazing and offers a variety of local foods which are delicious.
Hotel seems to be making a lot of efforts to be/stay eco friendly which is nice to see
We stayed only for a day but Komarno is a very beautiful town with a cozy old town and worth a longer stay. Apartment Lara has great location and well furnished. I recommend.
Super friendly staff, great location and lovely room. There was also a secure place to store our bikes while we stayed at the hotel. Overall, a great place to stay!
The apartment is clean, new and nicely positioned, everything was for 3 guests but we were a family of 4(chairs, fork &knife…). Convenient location fot Komarno
