Bourg-Madame is good for its location with public transport links but it does lack restaurant facilities. The only restaurant in town was closed on the evening of my stay - but there are good restaurants only a mile away in Puigcerda.

A beautifully kept older building. Staff was very friendly and accommodating (we arrived on bicycle, and it was no problem leaving our bikes and gear in the garage). Location is excellent – much nicer than across the river on the Spanish side, which is nevertheless easy to reach for dinner, drinks, etc.
