The property owner was not communicating. He avoided my calls and failed to reply all texts and emails. He valued the money I paid than relating to me. He avoided me, refused to cancel my booking and follow the rules, I won't advice any future patronage

Was in middle of snow storm so unable to visit anything.
Went to Salisbury house for lunch but staff were very indifferent to customers and rude if distracted by requests.
Food was mediocre didn’t have the items on menu
Roads for a city with snow storm were clear and able to navigate from one end to the other easily.
I would return during summer to checkout more attractions

Winters can be brutal but the history and old buildings are amazing. The city started as the melting pot of immigration surrounded by treaty land. If driving keep your eyes on signs, they are everywhere. Street are named so it's easy to get lost but with google today, why not? They have a good bus system if a bit slow, no trains. Love the parks, especially the Assiniboine and the Kildonan is a close second. Great spaces for dog play and walks at Maple Grove. Hot summers with plenty of humidity which means a great time to head to the big Lake Winnipeg.
I found the room was very clean. My kid enjoyed the pool and it was one of the main reasons we chose your location. We have stayed at a couple of other hotels in Winnipeg recently which we thought were fine but enjoyed our stay at the Victoria Inn most. I would say that this was because 1) you were adequately staffed 2) The facilities were clean and updated 3) The pool was nice for our kid and it was also clean 4) We sometimes have to travel for work with a truck and trailer an like that you have ample parking
Overall this Airbnb was great value for our stay. We had the garden unit for ourselves. The room was clean and the temperature was perfect for summer night sleep. We especially appreciated the host's quick response. We had power off in part of the unit. As soon I texted the host, he/she responded immediately and fixed the issue. The place is 30 minutes from downtown Winnipeg.
Very close to everything we needed to go to. Near airport, Polo Park and pretty much any place we had to go to along St. James. Place was very neat, well maintained and secure. Rooms were decent sized and owner was very nice and easy to communicate with. Kitchen was well stocked and the owner even provided bottled water and snacks for our stay.
This is the first time we stayed at the Super 8 and it will not be the last. From the time we entered the hotel it felt just like a place to be. The front reception was excellent. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfasts were fantastic. A lot of choices. Loved the fact that the eggs and bacon were actually hot was the best.
We really appreciated the competent and very friendly nature of the desk and shuttle personnel. Everyone was very polite and helpful and seemed sincerely happy to be there and glad to help in any way we would require. We would certainly return to the same hotel in the future if travel plans required a stay in Winnipeg.
Our room was great and we were able to get a crib for our toddler. There is a large green space and a park located right behind the hotel, so we went there a few times during our stay. It's a short drive to all the big box stores or downtown to the forks. We generally like to stay in this area when we come to Winnipeg.
-convenient location for travelling cross-Canada with 2 dogs
-along the Trans-Canada Hwy
-plenty of greenspace to walk the dogs
-complimentary and thoughtful dog treats upon arrival
-no pet fee!
-ground level room for easy access to take dogs out for a pee
-super comfortable bed
-clean room
-friendly and helpful staff
I had previously stayed at a Le Germain in Calgary and loved it, so I chose Alt. It is actually better value than LG! The decor is contemporary, views from higher levels are great (as well as they can be for Winnipeg), and attached parking complex is a major plus for downtown. The staff were wonderful.
The property rental is spacious and well-equipped. It has a reasonanle view overlooking Winnipeg downtown. The property innerspring are excellent to deal with and very pleasant. Free parking is available in the parkade next door and is fully gated.
The location is excellent for visiting the Canadian Museum of Human Rights and other downtown sights. The pre-ordered hot breakfast was a welcome change from the grab-and-go or bagged breakfasts we received at other hotels on our trip.
We like the location on the river and walking distance to downtown restaurants. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Visiting Winnipeg in September the weather was comfortable and less crowded.
good location, very close to Canada life centre. parking next to the hotel. the room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Breakfast included. staff was very friendly.
