Self-Catering Accommodations in Fondaccio

We absolutely loved our 2 bedroom suite in the Villa! Our host, Patrizia was so very sweet and attentive! She surprised us one morning and brought us sweet treats for breakfast which were possibly the best pastries we have ever tasted. The Villa was very serene and beautiful as well as the grounds. We were able to shop for local ingredients and make some meals in the well equipped kitchen. When we wanted to eat out our host provided us with many local options which were delicious!! We wished we had more days to spend at the Villa (after spending 5 nights), because it is so relaxing and very close to do day trips to Florence, the Coast, the local vineyards, etc. The pool was covered due to the time of year we visited, but still so lovely to spend time by the pool on the expansive grounds. We will be booking Villa Gerini on our next trip to Italy without a doubt!

The property was super clean and the location was perfect. Close to the track, where we needed to be, and in beautiful Tuscan surroundings. We loved it and will definitely go back.

Podere Badia is certainly rural! Only accessible by car. We loved it. 4 of us stayed 3 nights and left very relaxed after an idyllic stay. A slight complication was a winter landslide onto the road between the farm and the local village, so a detour was needed - and advised to me well in advance. Our satnav took us there without problem. Beware, there are narrow winding roads and it is 20 mins from shops, and only 1-2 local hostelries (we did not seek them out). This is in a Tuscan hillside, with goats, frolicking kids, sheep with bells around their necks, a white and a brown horse in the field, and a stunning view down the valley. The pool was delightful, clean and with plenty sunbeds, a poolside 'honesty bar', and much needed shade. On arrival we had a late al fresco lunch (purchased salads, cold meats etc en route) overlooking the pool and the valley - instantly charming and relaxing. Our 3 rooms in the original house had a double and single bed in each. We ate in the kitchen (basically equipped; old-fashioned - so no coffee machine or toaster but huge American frig/freezer, microwave, small coffee percolator). It was a relaxing way to live 'en famille' with no timetable, no staff or others, so private. We dined in the open air outside our house on-site each evening with other guests (in several modern 2 person units) - a table d'hote menu of antipasta, prima of pasta and secundo of meat with salad. Varied light desserts and/or coffee were extra. Wine and water were available. Our host, Jacopo, was proud of local fare - prosciutto, home-made lasagne etc. He gave me a small can of his own olive oil, grown on the homestead. We drove to Scarperia (20 mins on hairpin bends) and shopped in Conad supermarket. Plenty options for lunch picnics, wine, beers, etc. The Mugello Race Circuit is just to the east, and audible from Podere Badia. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would go again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The place was immaculately clean and fully equipped with everything we needed. The location was very convenient, and having private parking was a big plus. Everything was exactly as described, and communication with the host was excellent throughout our stay.

In the middle of the nature. Value for price.

This villa exceeded our expectations. Gorgeous, spacious, and private, it was a wonderful stay for my family of 7. Hosts were wonderful.

The whole property is gorgeous. The pool area has breathtaking views. The apartment is a good size, it has an outdoor private/separate patio with a table, chairs, and even an insect repellent to light up if need it. The interior has an original classic rustic antique style with a modern touch, full kitchen, working AC, hot running water, and very comfortable furniture.

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Elisa. The house is spacious, beautifully kept, and very comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone thanks to the many bedrooms and bathrooms. Everything felt clean, welcoming, and well equipped, making it very easy to relax from the moment we arrived. The beds are super comfy! The outdoor area was also real highlight, even though weather wise we couldn't really enjoy it to the fullest. We also really appreciated the modern living spaces and the kitchen. The location is excellent: peaceful and private, but still convenient for trips to Florence and just a 2min trip away from the Mugello race track. Having private, gated parking on site was also a big plus.
