Very nice and beautiful traditional house in Matsumoto, close to the castle and the city shopping streets with lots of cafes and restaurants. The house is spotless, comfortable, spacious and very well equipped with all the modern facilities. The interior decoration, the warm atmosphere and the attention to the smallest details are really amazing. Really friendly host; she met us, explained everything about the house and even left for us local grapes and water from one of the famous Matsumoto springs that was a nice surprise. We really enjoyed our stay in this charming house and definitely recommend it to everyone staying in Matsumoto.

We stayed here for 2 days and the place was very clean and spacious. And the neighborhood is clean and quiet so you can get a very good rest after your trip day. It’s relatively close to Matsumoto castle around 25 min walk. You can enjoy both the Japanese tatami room and the normal bedroom. Beautiful house! If you are traveling with friends and looking for quiet place to rest, here is the place ☺️

it is so pretty! everything is new so everything functions well and wonderfully! it is so clean and smells nice too. it is by the river, you can walk along the river to go to nawate street and head to matsumoto castle for evening walk. a bit far from matsumoto station but you can still walk from there considering the town itself is so pretty and have many wonderful places to stop, there are many beautiful cafes along the way to the place. the staff explained everything so well and they have guide book both in english and japanese.
