The host was very responsive to messages. The room was very clean, nicely furnished. The kitchen had all of the supplies we needed. Location was good as it was close to a shoping mall and the old town.

Exceptionally clean, comfortable, well equipped, and walking distance to everything you need -- old town, the green grocer, restaurants, the train station all within 10 minutes. You may expect a property "in the center of it all" to be noisy, but it was very quiet, tranquil even, and we slept soundly.

Everything was just perfect. We are six friends traveling together and had a really great time staying here in this house. The location is perfect… very close to Bikan district…only a few minutes walk. The house itself was meticulously clean and spacious. And the most important part is the friendly owner, Yuishiro. He came with his wife to welcome us himself and made us feel at home. Definitely recommend this place to everyone:)

Very clean comfortable place with simple modern design. We stayed in the second floor room and love the balcony, where there was a chair to sit and enjoy the quiet neighbourhood. No front desk check-in just use pin sent by email few days before stay to access room. The property garden was beautiful and great atmosphere overall.

Instant peace and tranquility. Everything is so beautiful and delicate that it forced me to slow down and enjoy every moment. Even washing the dishes felt special. The proximity to the historical district and relative ease of getting to Naoshima is a huge plus as well.

Grand Base Kurashiki Chuo was an excellent place to stay. The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and well equipped, with a relaxing lounge area and a streaming TV—perfect for unwinding after a day of sightseeing. The bathroom was a generous size, adding to the overall comfort. The location couldn't have been better: just a short, flat walk from Kurashiki Station/Mitsui Outlets and only minutes from the beautiful historic Bikan Quarter. It was the perfect base for exploring the area, Given the extreme heat, it was wonderful to break up the day by coming back to the apartment to cool down and freshen up. We would happily stay here again.

The location is outstanding and everything in the apartment is labeled in English for travelers. The tv projector is great for family viewing also.

This place was so gorgeous and relaxing! We were traveling for 3 weeks all over Japan and this was easily the best and nicest place we stayed

The bedroom with the large projector was super cozy and the toys and diaper trash bin provided were a great touch.

This apartment in Kurashiki has been the most beautiful, clean and pampering place we stayed in during our 3-week trip in Japan! It belongs to Yoshi Ryokan, and both are situated in the center of the Bikan and are renovated antique houses. Although it’s very central and touristic location, it was very quiet during the night. The entrance was a bit alarming – a steep wooden staircase, especially that we were travelling with a heavy suitcase… but we entered to this beautiful Japanese decorated western apartment. It is huge. Everything is on the same floor, besides a tatami room to which you can climb another staircase, if you prefer to sleep on futons. We did not use it, and we did not have to choose between bedrooms , like in other similar places. We used the big bedroom, with two very comfortable beds, with beautiful tatami floor and white paper screens. There were these beautiful yukatas to use on our stay and anti-slip socks. There is a well-equipped kitchen, a big dining table, a sofa and huge TV. And also a small balcony. The shower/bath has a superb skylight window. The feeling has been so welcoming and generous. There were fruit plates waiting for us in the fridge, besides a beautiful coffee /tea tray, including several tea choices, some sweets and tiny, but perfect milk packages. In addition to the usual shampoo/ conditioner/ soap there were also samples of great Japanese facial cosmetics. Before our departure we were given a box of local sweets. We loved our stay in this superb apartment!
