I love Smiley Bungalows so much that I stayed there three times! It's my favorite beach guesthouse in Thailand. Nestled at the end of a quiet bay near Orion Healing Center, Smiley is a hidden gem in so many ways: - The hosts, Nut and Kenan, are the nicest people you will meet — warm, friendly, and attentive, they embody the true essence of the Land of Smiles. - Smiley is also a magical animal wonderland, with a rescued monkey and eagle, as well as dogs and cats. It's a great place for animal lovers! - The bungalows have beautiful architecture — a unique layout, with the main room and deck perched on the second floor with a beautiful view, and a useful kitchen on the ground floor, as well as a relaxing garden with many plants. - What impressed me the most, though, was how Nut compassionately handled an unreasonable and aggressive guest (“Bad” review from "Guy" on March 18). He made a mistake and failed to book his preferred room, and because he didn’t get what he wanted, he went on a loud, angry, and aggressive tirade. However, as he screamed at Nut, she maintained a “Buddha-like” calm and treated him with kindness, even giving him a refund. He remained aggressive and angry — and further retaliated by giving Smiley a slanderous 1-star review on March 18, so please ignore it. Smiley’s overall rating would be even higher if it were not for this unreasonable guest. It was heartbreaking to see an entitled foreigner being so abusive toward a kind Thai woman, yet at the same time, it was inspiring to see how she remained so calm and kind in the face of such aggression. For a tranquil stay in a loving environment — and a lesson in kindness, come to Smiley Bungalows!

This place is absolutely beautiful! Every detail is thoughtfully designed, creating a serene and welcoming atmosphere. The bed was incredibly comfortable with high-quality sheets that made for a perfect night’s sleep. I also really appreciated the kettle and the little extras in the room—they added such a lovely touch. The location is fantastic, also on the beach and the staff was so attentive and kind.

We love this house so much! From the moment we arrived, we knew we had found a gem. This two-bedroom house on the hill is a slice of paradise, offering the most breathtaking, 180 degrees views of the sea and mountains. Waking up here was a dream; I absolutely loved starting my day watching the sunrise, surrounded by lush trees and the cheerful sound of birds singing. It was a serene and magical start my morning. The house itself is just as impressive. The decor is beautiful, new, and thoughtfully designed, making it feel both luxurious and welcoming. We slept incredibly well thanks to the comfortable bed and the quiet, peaceful atmosphere at night. The kitchen and amenities were outstanding—it was fully equipped with more than we needed. The location is perfect. Being on the hill provides the incredible views, but it's still easy to get everywhere. Just a few minutes by motorbike to the 7/11 was super convenient. Finally, a huge shout-out to the host. Dennis and Archie were genuinely friendly, incredibly helpful, and made communication effortless. They truly made our stay perfect. If you're looking for a comfortable, stunning, and perfectly located getaway, book this place immediately! We can't wait to return.

Everything is modern and very clean. No smell of mold, what is a common issue in the area. The kitchen is a big plus.

The host was very reaponsive and friendly. The most I liked that the staff came every day and cleaned the kitchen and dining area. Very big bonus for us. The pool is big enough and of course the view is the best than can be.

The bungalow is as described, with a good (yet a little dark) bathroom and a small kitchen area. Communication with the host was easy and friendly. We made friends with the cat :-).
