Our stay in Himmafushi was absolutely magical, and it all started with Kona, who greeted us warmly at the dock. From the moment she picked us up, her kindness and attention to detail set the tone for an unforgettable trip. Kona went above and beyond to make our stay seamless and special—she even helped arrange our travel back and forth from the hotel, making everything stress-free. The hotel itself exceeded our expectations in every way. The waiter was attentive and friendly, while the chef's creations were nothing short of phenomenal. Each meal was a culinary delight, with fantastic flavors and beautiful presentations. Housekeeping was impeccable, timing their service perfectly when we were out exploring, so we always returned to a spotless room. The beach was pure bliss: pristine sands, crystal-clear waters, and, best of all, tranquility. Most of the time, it felt like we had the entire beach to ourselves, with only a few others around. It was the perfect spot to unwind and soak in the natural beauty. One of the highlights of our trip was the candlelight dinner Kona and the staff arranged for us right on the beach. The soft lighting, gentle music, and full-service setup created an intimate and magical atmosphere. It was the perfect way to celebrate our one-year anniversary, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. Tips for Travelers: Bring some cash or exchange for local currency at the airport; most places accept USD or the local currency. Get a SIM card at the airport for reliable internet access—it was a lifesaver for us. For transportation: After collecting your luggage, turn left when exiting the secure area. Walk past the information booth and Burger King, then cross the road to the taxi area. You can take a taxi to Male and then a boat to Himmafushi or, depending on the time, a ferry directly from the airport. Private speedboats are also available.

Just about everything. It is just superbly located with a surrounding wave breaker which means the waters are calm within the resort. Most of the members of staff were extraordinary: especially Cynthia our hostess; Budda our Villa housekeeping member and Ram our waiter.

We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and weren’t disappointed. You have a person dedicated to you instead of a reception - you can contact over WhatsApp with requirements and have a schedule on the app where you can check what’s available and make bookings. Great food options Several services included based on your stay length like spa treatments, dinner at the underwater restaurant and sunset cruise. The staff are super friendly and there’s different activities everyday. Plenty to explore and access to the other nearby family hotel. There’s a connection to their sister hotel Oblu experience Ailafushi which is open for families but you have full access.

We loved the ‘home-from-home’ feeling cultivated through the well-designed facilities, seamless service, and emotional connection with the staff. We believe this is what makes Sunrise Huraa to stand out as a new type of luxury hotel in the age of overconsumption. The guesthouse provided everything we wished for (and even more): a comfy mattress to ensure peaceful rest, proper storage to avoid visual noise in the room, a complimentary bottle of cold water, and peachy, instagrammable beach towels. Breakfasts and dinners were the very best on the island thanks to the high hygiene standards, luxury dining-like experience, and reasonable prices. The food choice is a bit limited (well, it’s still a modest hotel on the island), but we found it delicious and very nutritious. We missed our Maldivian breakfasts so much that we got seven cans of tuna to recreate a glimpse of our vacation back home. Sameer and his staff create an unforgettable guest experience. They anticipated all our needs. They respected our privacy to let us sink into the quiet of the island and joined our conversations in the evening to share inspirational stories about island life, hospitality, people management and personal development. we cannot speak more highly of this place , it was very last minute for our anniversary and wow was it the right choice , we live in dubai and have travelled across the world and this place is no1 for staff and quality . our stay was made so fantastic from our welcoming , to our dinner service by Lasan and from every member of staff that passed with a genuine smile and chat . i very rarely go back to a place but for sure we will plan to go back and for a longer trip . the water Villa was what dreams are made of but every other facility matched . amazing place
