YPM is a good choice for the budget conscious traveler looking for reasonable quality accommodation in a good base for exploring the region. It is relatively basic, but has all the facilities needed, although the kitchenette comprises only a kettle, microwave and toaster. There is a small (if rather expensive) supermarket in the village, and a range of decent cafes. There is Yungaburra hotel (a pub really, you can’t miss it!) is old school but offers hearty and cheap meals. There is adequate parking and the setting is pleasant.

Surrounded by 11 acres of tropical gardens, the Malanda Lodge offers an outdoor pool and a poolside cocktail bar. A 15-minute walk from Malanda Dairy Center, the motel provides free parking on site.

The Breakfast was included in the price but was a continental breakfast. Location was out of town a wee bit but was beautiful surroundings.
