Located in Matsushima, 10 km from Shiogama Shrine, Matsushima Koumura features accommodation with a hot tub and a public bath. The hotel was very beautiful and well-preserved, in old japanese fashion. However, the rooms were well isolated and we didn't hear our neighbours at all! There is a very charming little Japanese bath that makes for a relaxing soak. The staff was very friendly and helped take our luggage to our room, since the building suffered some damage from the 2011 earthquake and tsunami and was not able to replace the elevator. Overall it was a wonderful stay, and I would recommend staying here.
