A short distance from breathtaking waterfalls and within driving distance of Hawaii National Volcanoes Park, SCP Hilo Hotel offers comfortable accommodations and a swimming pool. Very close to the airport. Really friendly staff. I did not realize the sustainability efforts of the SCP brand when we booked, but this added to the good feeling of our stay. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. There was free gated parking. We spent a lot of time at the pool which had a really nice seating area and a beautiful buddha statue adding to a serene feel. I also strongly recommend the Lomilomi massage at Malama Honua Massage Therapy. We ate several meals at the restaurant next door, Coconut Grill, which had amazing food (my first time trying Lau Lau) and really beautiful local art depicting Hawaiian legends.

Beautiful and cozy I would recommend it to all my friends and families.. I love everything, especially the beach.

Located in Hilo, a 7-minute walk from Onekahakaha Beach and 3.3 miles from The Pacific Tsunami Museum, Arnott's Lodge & Hiking Adventures has accommodations with free WiFi, air conditioning, a terrace... We were on a budget which is difficult in Hawaii but this property helped us sleep five comfortably. Very friendly staff at check in. Accommodations were modest but so is the price so that’s ok.

Located within a 8-minute walk of Onekahakaha Beach and 3.3 miles of The Pacific Tsunami Museum, Aaron’s cottage provides rooms in Hilo. Beautiful tropical location with lush garden. Spacious, clean cottage. Beds were comfortable and our kids liked having the curtain as a separator for their "room". We had everything we needed, and the staff was friendly and inviting, so we could have asked if anything was missing. There were small waterbottles and cookies in the cottage as a welcome which was a nice touch! The layout of the cottages gave us a really private feel, even when folks were in the neighboring cottage. We LOVED the secret beach. Mostly locals in a number of differently sized tidepools. Reef shoes strongly recommended!

Location and price were incredible. We were on the second floor, so not having an elevator was no big deal. The sound of the ocean waves crashing was a great way to wake up. With the ocean breeze, the A/C was definitely not necessary. Close to tons of great restaurants and coffee shops. Wifi was slow in the mornings but still worked, and worked great at night. It worked in our room just fine. We didn't need to; the lobby staff was incredible; the rooms were clean and comfortable.
