The Comfort Inn hotel is located near the Capitol Arts Center atmospheric theater, the Art Gallery of Northumberland and Port Hope Golf and Country Club.

Stayed here with my son for a local hockey tournament. Staff was friendly, beds were comfortable, breakfast was well stocked and staffed. Facilities are a little run down, but for a short stay at a reasonable price this hotel provides the basics.

Knights Inn Cobourg, hotel in Port Hope

Located off of the highway in Coburg, Knights Inn Cobourg features a 24-hour front desk, communal BBQ facilities and free Wi-Fi. Rooms offer a microwave and mini fridge.

I was greeted by the Office Manager who was very easygoing and accommodating especially when I realized I didn’t read the fine print about the damage deposit. She held our room for us while I went to get cash for the deposit and return. Upon opening the door, the room was noticeably bright, clean and smelled fresh. The spa tub was as relaxing as it looked and the room had all the amenities necessary for a last minute night away. The place is very quiet and private with a very convenient location. Don’t overlook this place next time you’re in Cobourg because it is much better than the chain hotels in every way.

There was more I wanted to see and do, but I had only 3 days. It's a great jumping off place for other towns, villages and sites in the area as well. If you love architecture, the picturesque, and some great atmospheric restaurants...Port Hope has it.

We enjoyed a live show at the Capitol Theatre.

We enjoyed a live show at the Capitol Theatre. There are many great places to eat. We especially liked a bakery/cafe on Walton that serves great sandwiches and wonderful pastries at an affordable price "Sugar Bush" cafe, I believe.

Very scenic and quaint downtown strip of businesses in historic buildings, well maintained. Variety of restaurants, outdoor patios, antique shops and unique stores. Very pleasant to walk around downtown and surrounding area. Impressive that the town preserved the historic character many years ago.

Raj, the owner operator, was so friendly and welcoming. You can tell this family run business trying puts their heart into the business. They have completed many upgrades throughout the property with quality finishes. We stayed one night as we were passing through town. The bed was very comfortable, the room was exceptionally clean and the towels were so soft. Very quiet location. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend staying at this quaint motel instead of your chain hotel. Thank you Raj for having us!

We came to Port Hope to attend the Capital Theater and this location was perfect. An easy and convenient 6 min drive. The breakfast was very good. Veggie omelets, sausage, muffins, bagels, English muffins. white and w w bread for toast. GHreat hot coffee, and several kinds of cereal to choose from. About 4 juice options. Even breakfast potatoes !!! Apples, oranges & yogurt. You could even make your own waffles!!! The staff were fantastic and so very helpful. I would stay here again in a heart beat !!!

Lovely architecture, built in 1844. Amazing location. Steps away from the historic main shopping and dining street in Port Hope. Very nice Italian restaurant on ground floor with great outdoor patio. Comfortable rooms with 12 feet ceilings. Friendly staff. The room we stayed in had a portable air conditioner that was attached to the window. I think that was to avoid having to use central air during COVID. Lots of restaurants and pubs to choose from in town.

Beautiful B and B in lovely historic town of Port Hope . it’s an exceptional place to stay with gorgeous decor, huge comfy bed and amazing breakfast . Rose is warm, welcoming and friendly . She had created a wonderful place to stay with incredible attention to detail . The decor is so pretty and did I mention the exceptional breakfast? it’s not a cheap place to stay but it is a cut above the usual B and B’s we have stayed at .

We booked our stay last minute as we were on the road all day. While the hotel is dated and needs minor repairs aesthetically - it is clean and comfortable Free parking - gas station and Tim Hortons are right next door The breakfast is excellent with lots of choices. The front staff are friendly and hilarious - we needed a 30min later check out as my visit with relatives went longer than expected!

Mr. RAJ was there to greet me upon check in. Very pleasant man. Kind and helpful. The room was exceptionally clean and the bed was one like you would find at a boutique hotel. Nicely decorated and very comfortable. Only a very short distance from the highway 401. Would highly recommend if clean and buget friendly is on your list.

Breakfast was good, though the hotel was impacted by supply chain issues so some items weren't available. Easy access to the hotel, especially for my Dad who has some mobility issues. All in all a good stay. the hotel was able to provide a bath seat upon request.

This is a good overnight stop if you're traveling on ON-401. My bed was comfortable, room HVAC controls worked, and I didn't hear noise from other rooms. Breakfast was decent with a small variety of cold and hot items.
