Cobourg is a charming little town.
Cobourg is a charming little town. A small, walkable downtown with at least 2 good restaurants and some nice stores. The harbour is only two blocks away from the main street. Gorgeous perspective on to Lake Ontario.

We enjoyed wonderful late summer weather throughout our weekend visit. The Victoria Park is beautiful. The entire waterfront area is lovely to stroll along, The beach and the marina provide for lovely walks at any time. The town has some interesting history and City Hall deserves a relaxed browse. We had a delicious evening meal at the Concina Urban quayside restaurant

What a gorgeous place.
What a gorgeous place. There's a great selection of really charming stores, an art gallery and concert venue within city hall. The beach is a good size and well maintained. And absolutely everyone was so friendly and kind and helpful. Loved it. I had coffee and a bagel every morning a The Fabled Bean coffee shop - great coffee and service and bagels from a local bakery that were terrific.

I like the main street of Cobourg..
I like the main street of Cobourg..However, at 6pm on a Thursday, I found that several of the restaurants on the main street were closed which was a little disappointing.
I ended up going to Metro Grocery store to buy my food...which actually worked out just fine.

The staff at Foodland went out of their way to help us .
The staff at Foodland went out of their way to help us . We were staying in a room that didn't allow cooking and no access to a oven ! So I asked at the Deli if they could help us by Heating ( cooking ) a Pizza for us which they did ! It saved us from traveling out of our way to find a Pizzeria and Spending more money than we had ! I wish to thank them because they didn't charge me Extra for heating up the Pizza . We might stop in town the next time we are passing through on the way to our camping grounds outside Hastings Ontario .

I grew up in Cobourg and loved it.
I grew up in Cobourg and loved it. Left to join the Army in 1978 and finally made it back to stroll down King Street and walk the beach again.
Fabulous what the Marina has done for the place. It is still the great place I remember.

We throughly enjoyed our stay in this wonderfully eclectic retreat. The access to a private porch with a million dollar view was perfect. We also loved the ability to walk out the back gate to the beach and reach downtown restaurants within minutes - all on foot. The host had much useful knowledge about the area.
