It was freezing with ice on the lake and snowing in late April and I had to buy gloves and socks. The location is lovely in summer but spring is iffy and a lot of stores were not open and if I had not had the group event I would have been bored and underwelmed with scenery, a person needs to go in summer to appreciate this place.

Sylvan Lake is a friendly and beautiful place to visit. The lake is so clear and clean with a nicely developed beach area along side a well developed commercial area. There are boutiques and diners, roof top pubs and ice-cream shops. There is something for everyone.DebbyCanada - 10Scored 10
Sylvan Lake... one of my very favourite places!
Sylvan Lake... one of my very favourite places! Just be sure to come early to stake your claim on the beach if you want a spot. I enjoy that I can walk my dog around the paths by the lake and take it all in! :)

Sylvan Lake is a wonderful place!
Sylvan Lake is a wonderful place! I have been coming here forever... so many great memories! This is an easily accessible lake town that is still as much fun now as it was when I was kid! 10/10 for me... always! :) I ate at the Hockey Central Pub and Bukwyldz as they both have dog-friendly patios... Moo's is also good too for ice cream... and of course the Dairy Queen for a sundae! Sylvan Lake is easy to get around and take in the Farmers' Market because it is excellent! Avoid heavy crowds over the summer months. I prefer to book in the Spring or Fall. Quiet is what I am after! :)KimberlyCanada - 10Scored 10

The lake is beautiful. The little town is beautiful. The people were so friendly! This is my second trip here and I need to come more, and I will from now on. The drive is 100% worth it! Would recommend this for a family as a great mini vacation 😊. All will enjoy. Had dinner at Sun of a Beach which was a very nice restaurant that allowed kids, service and food was great. My pics don't do the area justice as didnt take many as I was too busy enjoying myself.

Located right on Lakeshore drive, close to stores like The Moo and across from the lake and sandy beaches. Easy to access from all entries into town. Staff were amazing! Covid makes everything a tad more complicated, but the ladies made it easy and enjoyable! You forget Covid is happening. I would love to stay again! Also pet friendly, which is a great bonus!
