Trainstation 100meters. Not faar from the Sea and Beaches.. With plenty of Restaurants and other good things to do. A 7,000 Year Old Mediterranean Jewel

Surrounded by the sandy Costa Blanca beaches and the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean Sea, Alicante has a rich heritage built over thousands of years. Alacant (as it's known in Valencian) has a deep history ranging from the first tribes that arrived at the slopes of Mount Benacantil to Greeks, Romans and Moors. Nowadays, this modern city features a bustling harbor, great Spanish nightlife, charming old streets and modern beach resorts.

Overlooking the city from the top of Mount Benacantil, the Castle of Santa Barbara was built during Islamic rule in the 9th century. Cascading down the slopes towards the center of the city, L'Ereta Park has terraced levels that offer stunning panoramic views of the city. The remains of the ancient Roman town of Lucentum are also just a few miles away.

Barrio de la Santa Cruz is the historic quarter, featuring narrow streets, old houses and cobbled steps. Framed by palm trees and covered with a snaking pattern of white, red and blue tiles, the Explanada de Espana is considered one of Spain’s most beautiful promenades.

After arriving at Alicante Airport, indulge yourself in a resort near San Juan beach, or enjoy the view of luxurious yachts moored at the marina from a cozy B&B: Booking.com has the perfect spot for you to discover the magic of Alicante!

Hotels that guests love in Alicante

    • Location was perfect with the San Juan beach literally a 60 second walk away. Hotel is also close to the tram line which is convenient when going into Alicante city centre. Tram return ticket cost around 2/3€ conpared to a €15 single taxi fare to the city centre!

    • We stayed here for two nights and the hotels proximity to the city centre, old town, museums and beach made it a perfect location. Large clean rooms and great staff made it the ideal hotel to be in in Alicante.

    • Hotel staff were very good ,receptionist particularly helpful advising we take the tram to Benedorm which was comfortable, fun and cheap and easy,so well done! Location was perfect for our stay ,short walk from direct C6 airport bus stop at port and right in centre of Alicante.Easy walk to beach, port castle Restaurants and Museum of Modern Art as well as Tram station. Hotel building converted 19th Century pallazzo with character and traditional balconies on busy city street back from the promenade.

    • Great place for someone who wants some peace and quiet, the beach is right across the hotel. Tram and bus stops to Alicante city centre are within 10 min walking distance. Good value for money, great wi-fi, rooms clean and air conditioned. 30mins walk will bring you to nearest restaurants. For someone who's looking for a lot of fun and buzz though, i'd advise staying in Alicante city centre.

    • The hotel is good value for the solo traveller; offering good location and easy access to Alicante. The hotel is situated one street back from the main esplanade near McDonald's and easy reach of the marina, city centre, castle and the beach. The room was clean and comfortable if a little basic but OK for a short stay. A small fridge is located in the room with water and chocolate. There a plenty of cafés, restaurants and bars within a short distance. The airport (C6) and tour bus stops are located within a short walk from the hotel.
