The chef/chefs were amazing. Food was exceptional, both breakfast and evening meal.
Staff very friendly and approachable.
Room spacious and so comfy.
The only moan was that the noise from the bar downstairs went on longer than expected, until 2:30 am on Saturday night/morning.
Would definitely stay again though.

The staff were really welcoming, friendly and attentive.
Breakfast was really quick and very good.
The bed was very comfortable, the duvet especially soft and comfty.
All tea, coffee and milk supplies that you need.
Good TV. I always miss having the normal TV channels, but in this case I guess impossible to get ariel reception. However, it had Netflix and other free film channels so that was really good.
It's a nice old pub, and set in beautiful surroundings, just up the road from a stunning part of the river dart with little bridge. Absolutely beautiful!

Service was top notch from the off. I was greeted at the door following parking. Breakfast was easy to book. Recommendations were given for food and I was extremely grateful for this as the pub I visited was incredible. Rooms are spotless and breakfast set me up for the day. Don't be put off by not having a cooked breakfast. Fruit and coffee was exceptional. Everything was spot on. Very quiet and Brad was very sociable when it mattered. The room and hotel itself is spotless and maintained to a very high standard. I was worried about parking but there was plenty of spaces. Didn't need car charging but it was offered to me and available.
lovely and friendly village. Cafe, shop, garage, pub an so much more. Also only 10 min drive from Tavistock or out onto the moor.
We only spent a couple of days exploring the local area, but managed to fill every minute with museums, local attractions, city walk and so much more.
If you want a stay with everything you need in walking distance from your door. Or you want to explore the moor and local towns, this is the perfect location.
Dog friendly and wonderfully tranquil. highly recommend.

Weather was atrocious, but that just showed Dartmoor at its bleak and brooding best, stayed at the East Dart Inn in Postbridge, wonderful staff and accommodation. We have been to this area several times over the years and hope to come back many more times as somehow nothing changes but there's always something new to see.

The room and facilities were very good. Lacked a little information in the room in my experience. Friendly staff except for one lady who I think was in charge. The food was ok as I had an evening meal there. Good selection of beers and drinks. Lots of character and outdoor seating. I would have rated much higher but for the attitude of 1 member of staff. Bar staff were very friendly and helpful.

Dousland is right on the edge of Dartmoor and Burrator...
Dousland is right on the edge of Dartmoor and Burrator reservoir. The villages nearby are also beautiful with walks on your doorstep such as Bere Ferrers . Tavistock is also nearby.
The pubs such as The Burrator Arms are The Royal Oak are welcoming and serve great food.

It was a great location, the river is just down the road, great walks on your doorstep , very friendly. Very comfy and clean, delicious breakfast. We ate in the evening at a nearby pub recommended to us, it was spot on

The village of Buckland Monachorum is just outside Yelverton. Yelverton is no great shakes but Buckland Monachorum is a pretty village with a really good local pub serving pub food of a very high standard. During our stay, which was at the end of lockdown, the pub provided us with takeaway meals which was a real treat.
A quiet, idilic property in the countryside of Dartmoor but in a perfect location for the local amenities nearby, shop, cafe, public house, post office, takeaways in Yelverton. The rooms are lovely, spotlessly clean and the bed was comfortable for a good night’s sleep after a long journey. The breakfast menu is varied and well presented with daily specials available. Nicky the new owner was very welcoming and hospitable. I look forward to seeing her again in September for a second booked stay.
Fantastic re-furbished inn/hotel. The staff are all great - nothing is too much trouble. Room 7 (one of two that have a bath) was perfect - good linen, comfortable bed, coffee machine, mini fridge etc. Good food choices available at breakfast (again - staff were great) and evening meal too.
We made use of the secure bike lock up - handy for some.
No negatives at all for us at he Burrator and I hope to return....
Beautiful cottage in tranquil surroundings. The cottage had everything we needed for our family while we stayed there. Lovely clean cottage and the Hot Tub was brilliant and was all set up and prepared by our host. Steve (host) was very friendly, helpful and went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for us. We will definitely be back to the Dartmoor Linhay when returning to Devon!
Briardene cottage is just stunning - such a beautiful location in its own little hamlet! The cottage is well equipped with everything you need - the attention to detail by the owner is perfect - fresh cupcakes and hot chocolate upon arrival was perfect for our girls! It’s a great location to go and explore Devon.
Agent eventually paid for additional cost of alternative Hotel accomodation, but, without any discussion, refused our claim for adequate compensation for cost of eating out in restaurants rather than having the lower cost alternative of Self Catering.
The Rosemont was in an ideal location for me to visit friends and family. It was easy to find the hotel as just off the roundabout with parking outside.
The room was compact but perfect for 1 person and had good facilities.
Fantastic hotel, Paddy and Richard were so welcoming. The rooms were comfortable, clean and had great facilities. The breakfast was excellent and there is also a nice bar for an evening drink. Thanks for a wonderful stay.
