The location is great. Very close to the ferry, shops and tavernas.
The host was very informative and friendly. She was at the property every morning so could answer any of our questions.
There is an iron in the room which was useful as we were traveling around a few islands with clothes constantly in and out of luggage.
A kettle and fridge were handy too.
Lovely julliet balcony to watch the world go by overlooking the square and harbour.
Well set in the center of Spetses, Lumiére spetses provides free WiFi throughout the property, a garden and free private parking for guests who drive.

very clean, well appointed, neat and friendly staff
The welcoming was warm and we felt very special. The receptionist lady was very friendly, helpful and just wonderful. The room was very nice and big and the breakfast idea was great.
The location was easy to find and the walk from the port to the venue was easy with no steps to climb.
Will definitely make use of Ethereal stay if I have to go for a vacation in Spetses and hopefully stay longer.

Fantastic, excellent, amazing, and exceeded my expectations.
Fantastic, excellent, amazing, and exceeded my expectations. Visiting again for sure, can't wait to experience it once more. I didn't have inclusive breakfast, but knowing the hotel, I'm sure it would be good. There are so many bars and restaurants that cater to all needs, cheap and cheerful, middle-of-the-range, or high-end. Location-wise, the hotel is excellent and extremely central, a gem, charming, right in the heart of the island. The staff were very helpful, who went over and beyond, plus always cheerful. Happy to learn your needs and point you in the right direction. The owner: family-run hotel, who rescued an architecturally beautiful and run-down building and has been gradually renovating the hotel during wintertime. The guests don't see or hear any of the renovation works, they are behind the scenes, but they do gradually go on not seen or heard. The old lift in the hotel has a little of a modern sparkle about it, but it is delightful and has a lovely musical tinkle when in the lift, a must-experience. Most of the hotel rooms have sea views, but if you don't have a sea view, don't be alarmed, you will have a lovely spacious clean room with a view and perhaps and balcony, but if not whatever room you get: large or small, it is clean, comfortable and perfect for a beach holiday! After all it is an island and for what you are paying for a large or small room, balcony or not, you’re still getting an en-suite and great value for money; on a beach holiday, you’re out all the time enjoying the sea and sun and local cuisines, not sitting in the hotel room! It really is value for money and more! It has a lift, and the building has character. My room was very comfortable. If you are looking to save costs and want an all exclusive, book the room and you will find all types of catering needs across the island: cheap-middle range-high end.

Beautiful island with lots of flowers.
Beautiful island with lots of flowers. Relatively little traffic. Bring your walking shoes and some water shoes for the pebble beaches. Ask for recommendations about where to eat and make reservations if you go in high season. Definitely take a round the island boat trip - that was the best thing we did. We chose Lefteris Tsanas https://www.facebook.com/p/Spetses-Fishing-trips-and-traditional-boat-tours-100069392708838/. The cost was very reasonable and he is a knowledgeable and personable tour guide and local fisherman who supports sustainable fishing practices for the entire island. He brought along Greek mezes for our trip which were homemade and included octopus he had caught himself...it was magical!

Our favourite places was new port and old port.
Our favourite places was new port and old port. It was easy to walk around the center, but for beaches you have to go with motorbike or bicycle. I was impressed with the hospitality of the locals and their willingness to help. Also we ate at patralis fish tavern and Agios in the center the food was great. The beaches were good in a stunning location, the disadvantage was that they have small stones, not sand.

Hotel Kastro is in a deal location for walking about Spetses town. Lots of cafes and eateries. Our favourite was PATRALIS, definitely! Freshly prepared dishes to cater for all tastes. Plus service and hospitality at KASTRO HOTEL exceeded expectations! Their breakfast had a huge variety and was enjoyed thoroughly sitting next to pool and shady trees! Loved it! Thanking Christian’s and Svet and the team for going above and beyond.

Not crowded and not very touristy.
Not crowded and not very touristy. Mostly Greeks on holiday and locals.
Nice shops cafes, tavernas etc.restaurant in the old port were great. We loved Patralis in the other direction it had wonderful seafood. Except when we went to the beaches we walked everywhere.
Transport is taxi, bus, horse and cart or you can hire bikes or mopeds. Keep the number of your hotel handy so if the bus is full on your way home from the beach they can send you a taxi.
People were all very nice. Would visit again
This is an absolutely charming historical mansion that sits right on the very sea front promenade of Spetses, on the quieter more charming end, nearby a few of the best restaurants.
We had heavy luggage and it’s a 10-12min walk from the port on cobbled streets which are difficult for wheeled bags so it is worth asking for the free hotel transfer which is a lovely touch.
The staff are so lovely and welcoming, and tend to your every need.
The breakfasts are INCREDIBLE and subtly change every day to keep it fresh.
Superb location at around 150m from the port and in the centre of Spetses town. The hotel has been recently refurbished and is stylish, contemporary and comfortable. We had a room which was meant to be 'partial' sea view. Which actually turned out to be a 'full' sea view.
The bar area is very cool and contemporary, the inclusive breakfast was very good and the staff could not be more welcoming or friendly.
We would give it an 11 rating if we could !
This property is so special — it has a retro style with amazing pieces from the owner’s ship captain family, but with new bathrooms and all the modern clean amenities and great AC. plus a grove of lemon trees, two outdoor spaces, and a great location. it was perfect for two couples to explore the island beaches by day on bike then stroll out for dinner around the port by night. MariKait was so helpful and attentive, would stay here again in a heartbeat.
This was the perfect place to stay in Spetses. A cozy, beautiful getaway tucked away in the hillside just minutes from the city center. Our hosts were so kind and welcoming and made us feel immediately at home. The rooms were super comfortable, we slept great! And the breakfast was incredible: a full spread of homemade cakes, quiche, and pies... fresh fruit and yogurt, cereals, amazing coffee! It was like something out of a magazine. We will be back!
Amazing new property located at a very convenient and quiet part of the island. Clean room with all the necessary amenities. The owner is extremely friendly and was always available. Breakfast is exactly what you need before going to the beach. The communal terrace is ideal to enjoy your morning coffee or to relax in the afternoon. Great hospitality. Will definitely come back when visiting Spetses again. Definitely recommend!
Mare Monte is a beautiful boutique hotel nestled between the old and new ports and a short walking distance to both for dinner and shopping. Maria and Spiros go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable. The brunch was fantastic; so much variety and some of the best spanakopita and dolmathes I’ve had the whole time in Greece!
If we return to Spetses, we will definitely return to Mare Monte!
The apartment is very comfortable, spacious and completely equipped. The view is amazing and there’s a great sitting area outside. The host Christos was very friendly and helpful, he welcomed us at the port, organized a quad that was waiting for us at the apartment, and was in touch for everything we needed. I would definitely stay there again if back in Spetses!!
Wonderful room and view...definitely book the water view room! Klimis, the owner is terrific. The receptionist went to great lengths to help is get laundry done before we had to leave. They even prepped a breakfast to go for us leaving on the early ferry, before opening time.
Can't say enough good about this place and staff! Location great, nice room.
fantastic hotel and great owners/staff. pick up and drop off at port…
wonderful pool and superb BBH breakfast.
only small downside is location, about a 15/20 minute walk into town which means those with mobility issues might sstruggle.
there is a decent beach within a 10 minute walk
Best value for money for my stay in Spetses.
Breakfast was delicious, staff was more than welcome.
They kindly offered to pick us up from the port and back.
The hotel is very welcoming, at quite a convenient and quiet place in Kounoupitsa area at the edge of Spetses town.
Everything was beautiful, the room was great and well decorated, it had coffee machine and a kettle.
Comfy mattress and nice sheets. We had a lovely patio with chairs and a table. Space to hung up and dry your clothes or beach towels.
Our stay at Bays Hotel was a highlight whilst in Greece. Staff were friendly and super helpful with scooter rental. Coffee and breakfast was great and the pool was a nice treat. great location and great view for the balcony rooms.
NICE SMALL FAMILY HOTEL WITH A COZY SWIMMING POOL. RENOVATED ROOM AND VERY CONFORTABLE BED !!!
GOOD LOCATION , CLOSE TO DAPIA (CENTER OF SPETSES ISLAND) BY FOOT AND CLOSE TO
THE PORT AND RESTAURANTS, SHOPS, BUSES, ETC...
The building is a renovated neoclassical 7' from the main square of Spetses. It is uphill but manageable. It is extremely quiet . The beds are really comfy. The a/c works very well. The view from the balcony is amazing.
We loved:
- the hotel location by the sea with its own access to the beach
- the shuttle service to and from the ferry port
- the smile of the staff and their impeccable service
- the breakfast terrace
Very friendly staff and the GM Alexandros will do the extra mile to please you. It's one of the most iconic hotels in Greece and once you stay there you can't wait to go back.
It's worth every penny!
Armata hotel is perfectly located, just a few minutes walk from the port - handy if needing an early morning ferry back to Athens! Oh, and the staff were great and helpful!
- Amazing breakfast with a wide variety of food items
- luxurious rooms with comfortable beds
- very friendly and helpful staff
- central Location on the port of Spetses
