We found out later we were the last people booked at Thirides for the season! We were there alone, and they kept on extra staff to accommodate us, but we were treated with the utmost welcome and kindness.

An amazing location with a gorgeous private beach and beautiful swimming pool very close to the beach. The resort’s design is very impressive fitting into the wonderful nature surrounding it including natural hills and olive groves. We were upgraded to a junior suite, which was very luxurious, comfortable and close to everything. We had a wonderful stay. We very highly recommend this place.

Great town with amazing restaurants and beaches. Big enough to explore and small enough to see in a few days. Also, nice bars for after dinner drinks too. Shop owners and restaurant owners are very welcoming and they all spoke English.

Interesting town I expected it to be more picturesque but a good chunk, maybe a third of the town's buildings, are abandoned and derelict which really brings the whole place down. Overall though it was pleasant, vibing in the evening with loads of nice restaurants. Not much nightlift but that doesn't bother me.

The Olive Yard was perfect!
The Olive Yard was perfect! It was beautifully decorated and very clean. The breakfast basket was the best we had in Greece! The hotel staff washed, dried and neatly folded our laundry. It was very much appreciated, especially when you're on a road trip around Greece and don't often have access to laundry facilities. The staff were so friendly and I enjoyed meeting and chatting with them. Beautiful local beach which is a short walk from The Olive Yard. Perfection...and I will definitely stay there again.

Very fresh fish in reasonnable prices .
The hotel lakonis 1972 is getting renovated so the view will be much better than a old building skelete.

Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade...
Gythio is a working small port with a pleasant promenade lined by good restaurants. It seems to have remained unchanged. As it was the last night of a longer driving trip, we didn’t have the time to see other interesting sites, such as the museum and shipwreck, of the town.
We ate at Saga which was terrific!
The service reminded us why Greeks are famous for their hospitality. The owner, Mrs Stella, really made us feel at home. We cannot describe it better!
Also the appartement was so good that not even 5 star hotels could beat it. Every single detail was given the proper attention!
Last but not least, the beach is amazing with the cleanest waters we have seen for years, and we are very picky!
So, really excellent choice, we will definitely visit you again Mrs Stella!!
Very cozy apartment located in the most picturesque side of town. The balcony offers a spectacular view of Gythio. I really enjoyed the afternoon hours. The apartment is well equipped and you won't miss anything. The building is an old, rebuilt traditional house. Marcus, the landlord, is a very kind and helpful person. He and his family made this beautiful house from scratch and kept the traditional character of the region. Congrats!
We had some initial problem with the room but Mr. Barounis, the hotel manager, was very kind and professional giving us an upgrade and offering us a dinner. The chef prepared excellent dishes with a perfect presentation. All staff very young but professional and efficient. The cleaning staff was efficient as well.
The hotel is located in an ideal position, right in front of the beach of Mavrouvni and not so far from Gythio.
This is a lovely hotel by the sea. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We ate dinner at the hotel and it was excellent. Breakfast was exceptional. Even though the stay included a free breakfast, we were given a menu and could order whatever wanted and it was delicious. If we are in the area again, we will definitely return. Thank you!
Gorgeous boutique hotel in the centre of Gytheio. Comfort, decoration and support from staff, all on the highest level. No need to move the car: super market, caffès, restaurants and rest amenities are just few minutes away.
The facility is definitely recommended for discovering the beauties of south Peloponnese or just to enjoy some relaxed days.
A beautiful home away from home, equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Immersed in nature with a nice view and breeze of the sea. Gythio and some very nice beaches are just a few minutes away. You fall asleep only with nature sounds. A truly amazing place.
The hotel is right on the waterfront, though our side room had a partial sea view which meant it was quieter. The plentiful breakfasts are taken in the mezzanine with beautiful views over the water. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.
Very nice, recently renovated place. Perfect hosts that will helo you with everything you need. The place is perfect to visit Gythio and the Diros Caves nearby (the guests of the apartment have discounted tickets).
This is my home away from home when I come to Gythio. I have been here now six times, and it is the only place I will stay. I love the staff, the location, and how well I am treated. The breakfast is wonderful.
