We really enjoyed staying “outdoors” in the tent. Rainy weather, windy weather, chilly nights - we loved it. Plenty of blankets to stay warm. Wine glasses. Large TV for Olympics viewing, cozy robe and water shoes to get back and forth to the bathroom. Bernie is an exceptional host who has thought of everything. We were minutes walk to the lake and a short drive to my uncles. Perfect location. There was a large variety of breakfast foods and beverages available in the main house, including coffee, fresh bread, jams, cereal, fresh eggs. We had a beautiful holiday/honeymoon/family visit. We’re so glad we chose to glamp at Bernie’s.

    The Steeples Cafe was excellent.

The Steeples Cafe was excellent. We spent time catching up on the Irish newspapers in the library. A quiet spot. There was an excellent local exhibition in the council rooms. People were kind and helpful with directions.

Staying at Old Farm was a fantastic experience as it is beautiful and cosy. Margaret and Alfie were very friendly and helpful. From the minute I arrived I was welcomed and they looked after me very well. All the guests become part of the family! Breakfasts, with fresh laid eggs and homemade bread and jams, and (optional) dinners with the hosts and other guests were a highlight. There was always excellent home-cooked food (with special attention to specific diets), great company, fun and interesting conversations. One day Alfie and a young girl guest made flat breads and a range of burgers, which was so nice to see and eat! Having the hens, ducks, lovable dogs and cats was a bonus. It's a very picture-book place, well positioned for access to many towns and sites of interest, but peaceful as a retreat too. I was also able to work online from there too. Can't wait to go back.

I loved Nenagh. My grandfather was from there.

I loved Nenagh. My grandfather was from there. One thing I really like about Nenagh is the bustling high street full of authentic shops, and not loads of chain stores and identikit places like they have in the UK. It is a good place for people who like walking and outdoor activities.

Absolutely lovely property in a great location. We stayed for 5 nights, travelling with our springer spaniel. Loads of forest walks in the area and some dog friendly pubs and restaurants. A really nice place to relax, would definitely stay again! If you like to exercise, the gym is also excellent, better than most hotel gyms we have seen. We had a great time in Nenagh.

Reception area, bar area and outdoor area are well catered for and tended to. Bar is going to be undergoing maintenance soon so will be even nicer. Sun hits the front of the hotel so it was lovely to sit out near the fountain. The Coffee Dock is great and quality of the coffee was really good. William on the Coffee Dock was fantastic
