We stayed here twice to and from our drive to Xilitla and Jalpan. Beautiful grounds with lovely gardens. Pool and hot tub were very refreshing. We went for easy morning walks around the subdivision which only has a few houses and a little bit of new construction, and a terrific view of La Pena. There is a security guard at a gate through which you must pass when entering. Irma was incredible and what a fun and caring person she is. She did a little of everything from cooking delicious breakfasts and dinners (try the homemade pizza) to checking us in and out to overseeing just about everything. Club Vergel is only a 25 minute drive to the Queretaro airport.

Very nice town and location. People being the downside of the trip, it may be that they got it easy with many people going there so they don’t have to be friendly nor serviceable. Or they are just tired of getting crap from tourists but this location is a long way from the level of service you see in many other places in México.

Nice little town.
Nice little town. However, our entire schedule was disrupted by non empathic police officers. There was a tricky no-parking sign on the other side of the street which applies for both sides. They removed our plates (along with 4 other tourist vehicles) for parking on a prohibited place and asked to go pay the ticket to another town (30 min driving). I arrived to the place in 30min and they said I had to wait for more than 90 minutes until the police officer bringing my plates, arrives at the place. Short story, they literally said “we are gonna help you by making an exception, and will attend you today (not until next Monday), but you have to wait several hours”. 4 hours later, I finally was able to get my plates and decided to leave the town so I won’t need to face again with those horrid “public servers”. As most police officers, they only want money without thinking that tourism is what holds this place economy. Won’t ever come back.

The setting was beautiful with Bernal's big boulder in full view. Many in our group climbed the big boulder and enjoyed the views and challenge.
The city center was interesting with lovely restaurants, cafes and pubs.
In all, very enjoyable.
The manager and personnel spare no effort to make your stay as nice as possible. I've rarely seen such amiability, efficiency and flexibility in any of the hundreds of hotels I've visited in many parts of the world. The place is right in the centre of town. Once the few discos in town stop terrorising the neighborhood (which is fairly early anyway), a perfect silence takes over. The purple-pink flower design of the interior is so kitschy it really gets funny.
It was just a lovely stay. The staff were super helpful - there were a couple staff who spoke English, and we used Google translate a lot.
It was literally steps away from the main square which is absolutely beautiful.
The restaurant menu was in Spanish and English which was super helpful.
It's a little pricier than other hotels in town, but so worth it. The view from the rooftop restaurant is breathtaking.
we loved this hotel, the staff, Marycruz, Lupita, Josue, the cooking ladies(I forgot their names), Misses Tony the owner everyone was excellent. the location was the best just as the picture, the food at the hotel breakfast and dinner. we enjoyed and we are coming back.
Thank you everybody at El Cantar del Viento
This was a wonderful property, located just steps from the heart of Bernal. The room was pleasant and comfortable and the common areas were exceptional. Staff members were so kind and helpful. A big bonus was the view of the Peña from the top floor of the hotel.
The space was very clean with amazing views of the Pena de Bernal from the balcony and huge bedroom windows. Friendly and accommodating management, and a good location within easy walking distance from the center.
The hotel is beautiful but the rooms are woefully small and have very little if any natural light. I booked a "king executive" and it was an expensive room with a beautiful tub. I did expect more for the $$$
Excellent location with balcony and great view.
Large and confortable room, ideal for family.
Sergio, and his staff are very helpful and friendly, I will definetly book again when visiting Bernal again.
Beautiful place, location right in the center, parking available, King size bed, and hot water. Manuel and Maria were both very attentive to our needs. Bernal is a beautiful Pueblo Magico. Must visit!
The hotel was lovely! Love the decorations. Close to a little store. I accidentally left something in the room after check out and they contacted us to let them know - excellent employees!
The breakfast was in a restaurant of about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, the breakfast was with a very lousy service and wasn’t worth the additional charge for it
Great location- the parking area behind the hotel leads right into the entrance to climb the monolith. It is a 9 minute walk to the center part of the town.
