Spacious, clean room with air conditioning, sea view and large bathroom. Breakfast had a good selection of hot and cold plates, delicious fresh fruits, coffee, AMAZING fresh bread and rolls. Reception staff was informative and helpful. We had smooth check-in process, despite of a big bus tour group checking in at the same time. Well done :)
Rooms are soundproof, therefore we could enjoy quiet nights. Great place to stay , opposite beach, close to shops restaurants, cafes etc. P.S. We had amazing sushi next door, in restaurant 尚厨(ShangChu). Highly recommended.
It's 30min drive from Porto Airport.
Air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV are offered by this hotel in Estela, which is situated 2 km from Rio Alto Beach. It has a panoramic terrace overlooking the countryside and well-kept gardens.

This is a popular resort with Portuguese families who make up the huge majority of visitors here - not many Brits and not much English spoken. Big clean beaches - sea very cold even in July, Huge activity on the beach - these people play Basketball and Beach Volleyball all day and all night! Vast range of restaurants and other bars etc, and all very reasonably priced - did not feel we were paying the same prices we were paying in Porto itself.

Great beaches
Unattractive modern town with nice historic plaza but too many nondescript high rise blocks for my taste.
Inexpensive good value restaurants offering great traditional portuguese dishes

Povoa is a great city.
Povoa is a great city. The beach is wonderful, the people are great, and there is plenty to do within the immediate area (Povoa and Vila do Conde). Povoa is also very close to Porto, Braga, Viana do Castelo, and a host of other cool places. The beach is clean and nice.

If you would like to make a fantastic holiday in a local area near Porto. I would suggest this place. This area just 20 minutes from the Airport and the beach is beautiful. I felt the local shops and restaurants aren't expensive at all.

I particularly enjoyed the atmosphere of Axis Vermar hotel, the long walks near the ocean, the fresh fish in restaurants and the sound of Spanish all over the place...
It´s easy to get to the hotel & take the most of the outdoor swimmingpool.

Povoa De Varzim is a bustling little seaside town with everything you could want as a visitor. Mostly popular with Portuguese so English visitors that like home from home (menus in english etc) might wish to think carefully but otherwise I would definitely return. Safe, clean and easily accessible by car or rail.

Amazing location right on beach giving epic Sunsets every evening I was there .. great walks along beach both north and south for miles .. Great restaurants south of Hotel also , including the Barracuda Mar a fish only local restaurant on beach , I had an Octopus leg, squid, prawns , muscles , was delicious food , with great views . Beach was beautiful and went on for miles . Food in hotel was ok with a typical continental breakfast and a. Bodice of cooked dishes in evening with a bar .
The most amazing family ever that owns and runs the hotel. So kind, very clean and nice simple breakfast. Simple but large rooms, nice bathroom. Nice meal area and right across the rd from the weekly Sunday Market. Close drive to the beaches and other areas and only a half hour to Braga. Evening time was met with "Pai" making hot chocolate milk for us. So thoughtful :).
We had a wonderful stay at your apartment and truly enjoyed our time there. The apartment was comfortable, clean, and had everything we needed for a pleasant stay.
I would highly recommend this service to anyone who would like to visit Portugal.
Five of five stars for your service.
I would really looking forward to coming back as soon as possible.
Wishing you all the best
The hotel sits atop a hill with spectacular views out over the flats and to the Atlantic. It also allows for nice little walks around the close vicinity and is far from any through-roads or traffic, so really a place to relax. Probably often overlooked but higly recommendable as an alternative to a hotel directly on the beach or further inland.
It was terrible, a dog barked all night long. We couldn’t sleep at all, dog barked non stop and they didn’t offer to move us to another room. We asked for a partial refund since a full refund was denied. Staff at hotel said the dog wasn’t their fault. This review better not be erased by bookings.
Good place for 1-2 nights in a small city close to Povoa de Varzim, where you can get by taxi (bolt, uber) for 6-8 eur and 15 minutes.
Shop is 7-10 min away by foot.
Minimum facilities in the kitchen, quite clean.
Awesome ocean shore and 100 points view, especially when sun is going down.
Good location. very close to beach. Hotel has pool and with plenty sun beds located in garden. Excellent breakfast and you can have a very good dinner at hotel. As we had rental car. Very convenient for Porto airport.
Excellent hotel in a good location near the beach and Camino. The room was a good size, very clean with comfortable beds and pillows and the bathroom was great.
Breakfast was all we needed and delicious.
Siglas & Ruinas is located in the center of town and close to the beach. Its a cosy and comfortable B and B with a very welcoming hostess. We only stayed one night but we hope to be back!
The hotel caters for large groups so not great for two people. An empty restaurant every day but most of the tables reserved and staff setting up for lunch at 9.30 am..
The apartment was very big and the bed comfortable. It has a nice kitchen and large bathroom. Also in a good location, only a few blocks from the beach and stores.
great location. great meals. clean room. only complaint was that the air conditioning happened to be out, however hotel provided fans and we could open windows.
