The room was clean and functional and the hotel had real soul and character, which feels rare these days sometimes when traveling. There is free coffee in the mornings from 5am, including decaf, which is very nice. The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was good. The location of the hotel is incredible.

The location to the freeway access was perfect and it was close to where I needed to go. For walking around it was not the best.

Happened to visit the Rosie the Riveter National Monument...
Happened to visit the Rosie the Riveter National Monument the weekend they were hosting a Rosie the Riveter event. Lots of women, men, children & dogs roaming around with Rosie's signature bandana. Lots of fun.
The NPS Visitor's Center is very nice. They show several short feature films that are entertaining & educational. I continue to be impressed with the quality of the programs and museums created by the National Park Service.
The location was perfect my sister passed this hotel and decided after 10 years to check it out for the first time. This location is surrounded with everything you need stores and restaurants in walking distance perfect and quite we are seniors so feeling comfortable is important bed was very very comfortable. We didn’t want to leave.
We decided to sleep here as finding a normal room for 4 with parking space is nearly impossible in San Francisco unless you're paying a small fortune. There is nothing particularly right with the hotel nor is there something wrong with it. Location was convenient and we were glad we chose this as opposed to sleeping in the big city.
When I booked the hotel, booking.com clearly stated that breakfast is included in this hotel. But when we arrived, the front desk coldly told us that there is no breakfast, only coffee. I think we should get some refund back since the information is misleading. If I knew that there is no breakfast, I would not reserve this hotel.
The hotel was VERY close to the BART station El Cerrito del Norte, you can walk there and use public transport to explore San Francisco. We also enjoyed the restaurant Los Moles -- the moles were very tasty. The Safeway is also close and very convenient. The rooms were ok, and well described, and very clean.
The room was clean with a pretty tile floor that felt especially clean. Refrigerator and microwave in room were convenient. Though the view was of an unattractive back lot and not the beach, the hotel was located close to a grocery store and had pretty window shades to block that view.
The price and the area. I have been passing by the hotel for over 20 years but never thought that I would stay there. When I booked I just didn't think that it was the same place.
