I went to school at Cal and was on the rowing team so I spent a lot of time in the area of the Oakland Estuary. I am troubled by the decline of the area and the feeling that it isn't as safe as it used to be.

I have enjoyed strolling through the Piedmont Street with a variety of shops and restaurants only a short walk from the hotel Signature on Broadway. During my stay I have taken a bus to Downtown, Old Town and China Town in Oakland. My visit to Oakland sides was enjoyable and relaxing, especially on Sunday when I visited the Piedmont Street. It was recommended that I visit the Rock Ridge neighborhood, but I run out of time. The city has a good public transportation system, and it is relatively easy to travel to San Francisco if you like to visit a larger more exciting city.

We booked a concert in Oakland months ago.

We booked a concert in Oakland months ago. (This is a new concert locatIon for us, 2 hours further away than Los Angeles.) In the interim, we heard negative comments about Oakland, primarily about auto break-ins, so we were wary. But we had no bad experiences in Oakland and this hotel made us fell safe and comfortable. We had to rush home for appointments the next day, but would have liked to linger for another day. We will consider returning for another concert or event in Oakland.

Oakland airport is good but the city of Oakland, CA just sucks and it always has, you see I grew up in San Francisco. Your property is nice to stay at but the city it's self dirty and crime infested and I have always known this so nothing surprised me on my trip.

This was my birthday weekend. Went to Millennium restaurant for dinner and then True Food Kitchen for lunch the next day. Acre was another good place for drinks. It was fabulous to get out of the Sacramento 100% weather

I want to make this clear: Oakland is a terrible city- trash and homeless people are everywhere and you have to be very careful all the time (it’s reputation is well deserved), but I had a wonderful time on this trip because I stayed on the Embarcadero, which is nothing like the rest of the city. The Executive Inn and Suites is a great place to stay and the views from their waterfront rooms are fantastic. You will feel completely safe there; not a homeless person in sight! You can quickly get to anywhere from there as the freeway is very convenient .

Coffee, drink tickets, games in the lobby, etc. Just a really nice atmosphere. I had come from a Westin in San Diego. No doubt, those are great hotels. But the Moxy really get's my generation's traveler. Free hot coffee in the morning, a couple of drinks in the evening. No one wants some soggy bacon and fake eggs "for free."

The Air Conditioning didn't work, and the ceiling in the room fell on the floor. I checked out of the hotel and am out of my $284. The hotel, and Booking Com refused to refund me. Will NEVER use again
