What we liked the most was securing the hotel lobby entry doors at night, requiring you to have your room key card to enter. This made us feel safe. However, on departure day I forgot my new black jacket in the room either hanging in the closet or left on the bed. It was purchased in Seattle, during the first part of our trip Nov 1 - 15, because the weather was sooo cold. Upon reaching home I called the hotel while unpacking and discovered it missing. I spoke to the Manager of the Front Office who informed me he will check with the Housekeepers that serviced our room and would call me back. As of today Dec. 12, 2022 Matt has not called back. No one answers when I called the hotel (510-849-1121) several times since checking out. This is very disappointing. I hope someone looks into this and provides an update to me.
Very large sized bathroom. I enjoyed the bathroom very much! My booking said breakfast included. There was none. Not just this motel/hotel, many are renovating, and quiet enjoyment is not good. But did get some rest around 7 pm. The person above me was a heavy walker/ stomper. Even still, I would choose to come back again, because of the size of the bathroom.
Beautiful city with dirty streets. Compared to Boston or Cambridge, the city is clearly not doing enough to address unhoused people, especially those suffering mental illness. Their presence is apparent on sidewalks throughout the city. So too is trash, discarded papers, garbage and generally disorder that could at least be ameliorated with decent temporary housing, daily expanded sidewalk cleaning and leasing of dozens of boarded up businesses (even temporarily to artists, etc).
Enjoyed our stay in Berkeley. Went there for our son's graduation and had a few days to walk around. We visited the campus, my husband and son went running and we had a nice dinner at Chez Panisse Bistrot (had to make the reservation THE day they opened up the reservations on-line) to celebrate. Lots of food options near the hotel, getting around Berkeley is easy. It was fun seeing the graduates.
It is a busy hub for people traveling to Berkeley . students needing housing, visiting staff or families needing a place to stay. Will need a car or a care sharing to get around. Transport to Bart, campus, etc. There are many eateries in the area, Coffee shops and shops within walking distance.
I loved Berkeley and it’s beautiful greenery and views. The food options are endless and the casual shopping is so much fun. There is so much to see in the town and on Cal campus. The surrounding areas offer a variety of activities and vistas.
We have stayed here several times and have reviewed previously. The best feature of Sens is the location, which is in the prime part of north Berkeley near campus, with tons of good restaurants and cafes nearby (including right downstairs), and a good grocery store next door. The room comes with nice amenities, a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. We also had a cute balcony with a table and 2 chairs, nice for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine.
Was pleasantly surprised with the hotel . It's a little old and probably gets worn by all the sea water. Rooms are very comfortable tho. Location is nice as it' son the bay, but absolutely nothing around there to walk to, so def need to have a car or Lyft/Uber. Staff was really nice and friendly ! Also the Boathouse restaurant was very good, had breakfast there every day. Would def recommend staying here if you're in that area.
Berkeley

The place is great, Bed is very comfortable, greatly equipped kitchen, nice garden and very beautiful green surrounding, the parking just outside is very convenient and the location is good, in general the place is extremely well suited for a visitor of a few days to even several weeks in Berkeley.
Berkeley
The location of the hotel was very convenient to access the campus, and very close to the BART station. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. I also found the available LAN cable in the room very useful.
The location and smell of your hotel is amazing along with your friendly staff especially Anna at check in. She is always friendly and knowledgeable about the area.
Berkeley
The room itself appears to be recently renovated, clean, comfortable. Convenient location if you want to be close to Downtown Berkeley, Cal, and BART.
This hotel felt modern and clean. Our room was sizable for the area and maximized space. We felt it was a good value.
Out of expectation! The hotel is like a historical site. My daughter loves it there!
