Hotel in Berkeley
The Graduate Berkeley is located just 1 block from the University of California Berkeley. Complimentary WiFi is available throughout the property. We were moving my daughter out of university housing. It was so restful and comforting to come here after a long, grueling moving day. We also came in Sunday night from a Friendsgiving at my son’s house in Oakland, and we had a plate of pie, but no forks. The front desk happily got us some. The next night we had a bottle of wine and some waters, but no glasses. Again, same front desk staffer got us beautiful glasses to take up to the room. Our whole experience helped us get through what would otherwise have been a fairly miserable one. Thank you!

Enjoyed our stay in Berkeley. Went there for our son's graduation and had a few days to walk around. We visited the campus, my husband and son went running and we had a nice dinner at Chez Panisse Bistrot (had to make the reservation THE day they opened up the reservations on-line) to celebrate. Lots of food options near the hotel, getting around Berkeley is easy. It was fun seeing the graduates.
It is a busy hub for people traveling to Berkeley . students needing housing, visiting staff or families needing a place to stay. Will need a car or a care sharing to get around. Transport to Bart, campus, etc. There are many eateries in the area, Coffee shops and shops within walking distance.
I loved Berkeley and it’s beautiful greenery and views. The food options are endless and the casual shopping is so much fun. There is so much to see in the town and on Cal campus. The surrounding areas offer a variety of activities and vistas.
The location is great & in the current labor shortages the landlady is courteous and helpful. But you have to ask for room service and there's no microwave to warm your food. There's a coffee maker which works as a water heater to make your ready to eat stuff or to prep your coffee or tea
With few exceptions, Berkeley has become a third world country. Many of the roads are in disrepair, there is a LOT of homelessness, trash is piled up everywhere and it has a feel of hopelessness. It can be extremely difficult to travel around the city with lots of traffic and little parking. People are very aggressive towards one another. It is a very expensive city.
I enjoyed walking the Telegraph street and found an excellent authentic Ethiopian restaurant serving delicious organic vegetarian selections and the classic injerra. The owner was on site and carefully overseeing the service. He was friendly and the service was excellent.
I stayed here for 11 nights and commuted UC Berkeley every day. The hotel is in 20 min walking distance. I liked the cozy ambiance of the hotel. I might have stayed in the Inn or motel with the same amount of money that I paid to Rose Garden. My room was surrounded by roses and I could smell flowers. The Whole Food Market, the best supermarket at Berkeley, is located within a block. I enrolled Yogatree which was at the cross of the road from the hotel for two weeks and practiced yoga every day. Great location, great experience.
We have stayed here several times and have reviewed previously. The best feature of Sens is the location, which is in the prime part of north Berkeley near campus, with tons of good restaurants and cafes nearby (including right downstairs), and a good grocery store next door. The room comes with nice amenities, a comfortable bed and a nice bathroom. We also had a cute balcony with a table and 2 chairs, nice for a morning coffee or afternoon glass of wine.
Covid safety measures followed as restaursnt was completely CLOSED. That was a real inconvenience as so were many local restaurants. Seems to me in the hotel you have a controlled group of potential diners - only those staying in hotel. Further you would prevent the necessity of these visitors from mixing with locals at restaurants if you provided dining for them on premises.
The hotel is completely new (or renovated). Room was quite spacious and comfortable with all amenities needed - safe, coffee maker, microwave, fridge, iron, hair dryer, huge TV and a lot of USB outlets (super useful!). Private bathroom was very clean. The AC was like new and worked as expected.
Berkeley
Remodeled and very clean. Older hotel type some of the wall patches over the years could be done better but it is clean and nice. I will stay here again. Great for the price in this area and walking distance to restaurants. Recommend for those on a budget or wanting a good deal for the money.
The hotel is in a nice, quiet area with some great views of the Marina and SF Bay. On clear days, you can see Downtown SF and Golden Gate Bridge across the Bay. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and additional services were provided promptly. The lobby store was an added convenience.
This hotel is an old place with no elevators or gym it is located across the street from UC Berkeley and the Kid partied all night long one night. I reserved with a company credit card and when they took my personal card to hold they billed it to that and still have not fixed.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great if you are visiting Berkeley. The hotel is next to the Bart station so you can take Bart to San Fransico. There are several good restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
Berkeley
It was nice and clean. The room was spacious and well decorated. The price matched my expectations. The hotel location was very close to the downtown of Berkeley, which was convenient.
The place is beautiful with a lot pf atmosphere. It’s not your chain hotel room. There is a beautiful patio. The location is near downtown and the university.
The location is excellent, near the highway and not too far from Cal. The hotel itself is perfect for our purposes, so were the staff, quite respectfull.
