The amount of U-turns one has to do in Medford is wild to me! Odd road layouts but definitely made me and my cohort laugh a lot about all the roundabouts we did. Fast/commercial dining and gas stations were close by on every corner which was easy for a traveler though I prefer some mom and pop stores and independent diners/grills/pubs but those merchants didn't pop up on my food searches until the 3rd page on my serches.

We are relocating to Oregon, and have been researching statistics as far as education, crime, etc. Medford does rank pretty high on the crime index, although during our stay it seemed fine. We have stayed in Medford 4 times and each time we have arrived too late to enjoy the city or see it. However, that is because we always break up the trip into 5-6 hour driving lengths.

Proximity To Ashland, which is a dream land in mid May, all green. Medford is wonderfully simple with 1 hour required to go through security, check bags and get to the gate. Bravo! But security kept my 2 and a half inch Swiss Army knife. I thought knives that short were allowed years ago. I have carried it through numerous security gates in the past. Put it in your checked bags. Since we had no car, we ordered a fantastic, maybe the best pizza from Abby’s who agreed to deliver. It was stacked high with spinach, artichoke hearts, black olives on a Greek pizza. The driver went out of his way to find us, as we had called our hotel the airport Marriott. He went to the wrong Medford Marriott. He brought it to our room. Katie was the nice person on the phone that kept the pizza coming to us. 3 other restaurants named by the hotel did not order .

Please note that Booking should immediately drop this motel from their website. You seriously do not want to be associated with this place in any way. It was beyond BAD--it was so awful that we paid (pre-paid) but did not stay. The manager would not refund our money so we said we'd be back (so she'd not be able to re-rent the room), than we left town. She was a scary lady!!! She actually screamed at me-became a total mental case -said "what don't you understand about a reservation." A 8.8 AAA sign was on the counter in the office. What a joke!!! The neighborhood was also scary. Lots of homeless-or at least wondering people with carts, strollers and backpacks filled with crap. I would have felt safer in a Walmart parking lot sleeping in my car.

I liked that this hotel was in downtown. It's within walking distance of many restaurants downtown (just head north a block or two). Around the corner on the same block there is a great breakfast location (Buttercloud Bakery & Cafe) it has a great number of biscuits and eggs dishes. Overall I had no issues with the motel. It felt safe, was clean, staff were nice, and price was very reasonable.

Never let your colorful, kind receptionist go, please!!! He made our whole check-in process both smooth and so fun, we already felt at home from the minute we entered the front desk area. The hotel itself is pretty nice. Not the cleanest or the most comfy, but perfect for a short stay. Also very close to a Walmart and In-N-Out, so that's definitely a bonus!

It's always good with Hilton, we were in Oregon for a few nights and the hotel was better than we expected. Would stay there again if passing through the town. I bought a lot of things online some time before my arrival, they kept everything organized and secure, didn't even charge me for receiving the packages, 10/10.

The breakfast was the best free hotel breakfast ever!! We didn't want to leave as we didn't get a chance to enjoy the bar/lounge as we arrived late and had to leave early. The smell of the hotel was lovely, we both commented on it. The gym had great equipment, the lemon bars with citrus water!!! Everything was great!

I snowbird and drive home for 6 months from LaQuinta, CA to Kent WA. I was looking for a hotel that is pet friendly for the long day of my journey off the freeway and in Oregon. Great Location. I will use it on my way back and look for another Fairfield on my way down to CA in the Sacramento area.

The owner was so helpful and accommodating. The motel is small and unpretentious on the outside, but the rooms are newly renovated and very clean, with lots of room. It is very quiet and in a great location, as well as being priced very reasonably. It’s a great place to stay in Medford.
