Portland is a beautiful city with so many different cultural neighborhoods with yummy food options, art, music, shopping and beautiful nature hikes, experience water falls, lakes, the waterfront, the city scape. We visited the Alberta, Mississippi, Pearl, Downtown, Lavender Festival/fields, Doja Tea Cafe, Rose Garden, Japanese Garden, hike up to Wakine Falls, - experiencing Burmese, Mexican, Retro, vegan, Greek, vegan ice cream, and many more food options. My daughter was my tour guide and each day of my 5 day visit was filled with these wonderful adventures. All locations easy and close to access. Do not miss any of these.

Breakfast was fresh and tasty!
Breakfast was fresh and tasty! Checking in was easy and lady at check-in was very welcoming and professional. Area is partially industrial and partially "uppity" shops/restaurants. If you're out walking or running, just make sure you go in the "best" direction. Good location near freeway access, but not freeway noise or traffic. On the edge of downtown Portland which used to be a "mess" (covid & riots & homeless) but seems to be getting much better. The Portland area is incredibly beautiful and interesting, especially in the spring/summer/fall.

Despite what you may have heard, Portland is a terrific place to visit, especially in summer. Getting around is relatively easy with a car, even with the ubiquitous road construction. There are fun, unique neighborhoods to visit, great restaurants and interesting attractions, from the international Rose Test Garden, the Japanese Garden, taking in a MLS Timbers soccer match, the art museum or just wandering the waterfront along the Willamette River.
The location of this hotel is very good, having walked arround Portland it was clear that we were in one of the best places. Our room was okay, although a strange layout, we looked out onto the street. There was a free wine and cheese reception for guests in the lobby area, obviously very popular. The staff were very helpful and curtious. Car parking was directly under the hotel and secure.
