The area of the Crystal hotel was very close to several other restaurants. Walking was safe to shopping centers. The Crystal ballroom was great and concert was excellent with more events coming daily. Fantastic place. Highly recommended!! Uber pick up was within 3 minutes and affordable. Portland is full of continuous festivals and beautiful places for everyone's liking.

Portland seem to have a great food and pub/micro-brewery scene. We only visited a few due to the shortness of our stay, but the ones we went to were exceptional. Considering it was rainy, there wasn't too much we could do. Public transport seems to be quite good. However, Portland seem to have a huge problem with homeless people, who camp around the city, as they seem to have nowhere else to go.

We used to love Portland's vibrant feel.

We used to love Portland's vibrant feel. Most of the beautiful city has been ruined by "mostly peaceful" riots of 2020 and the criminality that has been allowed to follow. The stores between 5th and the beautiful river front park are no longer, nor are the restaurants. It's sad. We used to visit the REI and it has now had to close due to the criminals. The NW area was in better shape. We enjoyed walking and shopping in that area.

Portland has a fun vibe: artistic, quirky, chill and friendly! There are lots of fantastic dining options and fun local events. Great for buying books and unique design items. Also, it is easy to get around on their transit system and lots of bike lanes so no reason to drive.

Solid, mid-range airport hotel. Very spacious room with a comfortable bed. Location is a bit farther away from the airport, hence the more affordable price. Good value for money. There were also several dining establishments open nearby within very easy walking distance, especially the Vietnamese restaurant two blocks away. Also very convenient to Tri-Met (light-rail) station two blocks away, if you don't want to drive into Portland.

My experience was great. Obviously not a four star hotel, but my experience was very acceptable. Staff helpful and friendly. Room clean. Neighborhood not great but ok. I rented a car so didn't use public transportation. It looked like it would be easy to get around, plenty of buses. My business was not downtown Portland, although I did go into Portland, and finding parking was pretty easy. I should have taken the bus.

The hotel is located right downtown and close to everything, that is good and bad, in downtown Portland. The rooms are really pretty and the bathrooms are to die for. Good check in experience and the parking, paying a fee, is very safe and extremely convenient with an elevator that takes you straight to the hotel lobby. The staff is very respectful of guests and social distancing rules and it was much appreciated.

The Viking Motel was a great stay for us. Very clean and comfortable. Really helpful staff. Easy to drive to and good parking. Also, not mentioned in the hotel details, it has a very handy MAX light rail stop which takes you downtown super close (yellow line, Rosa Parks stop), brilliant supermarket also close (New Seasons), lovely park, and a great little neighbourhood (Mississippi) within easy walking distance.

The Dossier was a great hotel right downtown. Downtown Portland has lost a lot of its charm the last few years, but that is no fault of the Dossier. It was easy to get everywhere and we were able to walk or take public transportation wherever we wanted. The coupons for the bar were also incredibly helpful in figuring out breakfast. The room was large and comfortable and very clean.

Bathroom renovated recently. Easy 20 minutes walk to cross the Burnside bridge to downtown Portland. Yes, there is nightclub sharing the parking lot however we didn't notice any noise from the club. We stayed in corner overlooking NE10th and NE Couch. No one touched our roof box during our four nights stay. Clean rooms. Good breakfasts in East Portland within 10-15 min walk.

I was very happy to stay in this hotel. The atmosphere was very good. My room was cozy, clean and quiet. My bed was comfortable. I was very nervous to share the bathroom but it was pleasant and clean every day. Staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel is in downtown, old town, which makes amenities available close by. I enjoyed my stay and I can’t wait to visit next time.

I like the location set in a charming older neighborhood away from the bustle and violence across the river in downtown Portland. I am a senior but rather enjoyed the clean and minimalist architecture and decor. The desk staff persons were pleasant. The spacious lobby was a refreshing alternative to most hotels.
