Make sure to check my I G lawyer.traveler.dreamer for more pictures and videos of the property and other travel recommendations. We recently spent a magical New Year's Eve at the Peerless Hotel in Ashland, Oregon, and it was an absolute delight. This boutique hotel offers a unique blend of historic charm and modern comfort, making it the perfect place to ring in the new year, or celebrate any occasion (or simply relax!). Here's a breakdown of our experience: Location: -Ideal for a car-free vacation! The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Lithia Park, Ashland Plaza, and everything we needed were all within walking distance. Perfect for exploring Ashland's gems on foot. - Nestled in a quiet historic neighborhood, it provided a peaceful retreat after a day of adventures. I really enjoyed my time in Ashland. The city’s twinkling lights on rooftops during the winter nights create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Staying at the Winchester Inn for two days was a delightful surprise. The hotel has a charming, vintage European style, with beautifully detailed decor, and everything was spotless and well-maintained. I especially loved the windowsill in my room — it was the perfect spot to sit, read a book, or simply gaze out at the sparkling city lights…✨

Highlight was breakfast. A chance to visit with our hosts and other guests. Hosts were friendly, fun and helpful. Food was amazing. I had forgotten to tell them I'm veggie and they pivoted in a second, even while accommodating another guest's gluten intolerance. Two course breakfast on the deck with fresh, local ingredients and delicious. They'll share their recipes! Room was warm and immaculately clean. Place felt just like I want a B&B to feel -- inviting and cozy.

I have stayed there before a couple of times -- always excellent and comfortable. (I wish I'd had time to enjoy the pool and hot tub on this visit.) The location on the main road leading into Ashland makes it easy to find, and was perfect for my meeting just a few blocks in the other direction. With the supermarket right across the street, it's easy to pick up snacks and save a little money (so you can splurge on dinners). I've stayed there before when attending plays, and it's easy to walk or drive to the theater, with some nice restaurants along the way. I was impressed by the breakfast offerings (and by the staff who monitored the food/supplies/cleanup).

We are not your typical travelers to Ashland, as we live 74 miles away and are usually coming over for a concert/musical show. Our town is more rural and Ashland provides a good opportunity to stock up on things we can't get in our town. Always stop at Ashland's own Shop-n-Kart grocery. We also, almost always, stop at Falafel Republic for to go Greek food. Sam, the owner is super nice and he makes great food!! If there is time and we don't need to be home, we love to wander Lithia Park for a few hours. People on "vacation" there, for what ever reason, will find this to be a town of immense charm and variety.

If you're looking for a slower paced university town with offerings from the arts to great eateries, you'll love Ashland. The streets, although not immaculate, are very clean. Downtown has many shops, pubs, eateries, as well as a couple parks. It also holds a few theaters that are home to the annual Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Don't worry, if Shakespeare isn't your vibe, several other plays both current and classic are performed during the festival. There really is something for everyone.

Great walkable college town.

Great walkable college town. The Shakespear Festival and sell out, so if you know you're going, get tickets ahead of time! There is some classical music, symphony and chamber that may be happening on any weekend. Esp. chamber music. Go for a walk in the city park downtown. There are also other hiking and outdoors stuff in the surrounding area. Downtown is great. Good bookstore. Movie theater has some indie films.

We attended the play "Importance of Being Earnest" which was superb, as was the Preface beforehand. There is plentiful free parking near the theaters and restaurants. We ate at La Briccola, Louie's, and Morning Glory; all had excellent food and service. We walked through Lithia Park which was a treat and even saw a Barred Owl which was a pleasant surprise. We will be returning to Ashland. It is a fun town!

Very reasonable for Ashland and a descent room. Easy check in right at 3pm. I was upstairs close to the office and it was quite enough. Comfy bed and low pressure shower, but did the job. Plenty of food close by, but many packed on a Saturday morning. I walked to downtown for a Shakespear play in late afternoon and felt safe enough by myself, even coming back at 11pm. It's 1.5 miles, flat and easy. Maybe not for everyone, but I enjoyed the walk and weather.

I had a great experience at the Windsor. I arrived a little late, due to traffic. The young man at the desk was immediately accommodating and helpful. In very short order, he had me checked in, told me the best way to access my room, explained various services, and helped me figure out the best way to balance my fatigue with a need to eat! Plus the hotel was lovely, my view in the morning spectacular, and my breakfast was perfect. I hope to come back.

I absolutely loved this property. It is quaint and within walking distance of downtown Ashland. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. Beautiful decor and a warm welcoming vibe. Great Place! Very efficient parking access.
