Samarkand is a city rich with history, where every site has a story. The main attractions like Registan Square are stunning, and the local food is delicious. People here are very friendly and welcoming. I also found the city to be very safe. It's a great place that feels both ancient and welcoming.

Registan square is quite beautiful and a must visit place in Uzbekistan. In terms of food, there are very less options for Vegetarian food but have 2-3 good Indian restaurant where one can find some good Indian Veg food. Cabs are also very cheap here to roam around the city.

There are a lot to see in Samarkand given the fact that it's one of the most important cities in the silk road history. Don't miss the light show in the Registan Square. I didn't expect there are so many tress in the city given the fact that it's a landlock country here. Flowers blossom everywhere in spring. I am fascinated by the food here.

nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere.
nice place, nice people, very friendly athmosphere. The mausoleums, madrassas and musea (don't forget the museum at the mediaval city ruins) are truly remarkable. Don't forget to visit the university quarter (and the Theatre of historical costume «El merosi» and it's coffee bar).
A continuous struggle and ripping off by taxi drivers, so be informed of what you are supposed to pay. Perfect point to move on by train to Bukhara. Samarkand is a grand destination.
The location couldn’t have been better! The view from the room and the roof terrace over The Registan was stunning: it’s probably the best located hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff at the hotel were so friendly: they knew everything about the major tourist sites of Samarkand but also pointed out some brilliant things that were a bit off the beaten track - and were excellent at arranging taxis etc. The room was super comfortable and breakfast was the best I had in Uzbekistan. I really can’t recommend Hotel Minor enough.
Amazing place to stay in Samarkand ! the hotel is perfectly located, few minutes walking distance from Registan Place in the old city. The hotel is cosy and pretty, we felt at home, the room was big and very nice. This hotel has an authentic charm and a beautiful terrass, so romantic :) a special message to the staff "thank you for everything" they are wonderful people ! We spent two weeks in Ouzbekistan visiting different cities and Kamila Boutique Hotel was one of our favorite hotel.
The stay is very close to the city's popular Registan square. The owners were communicating in English well. Aunty prepared very fresh and hot food for everyone at the stay. They have a shared bathroom, they will provide you with a towel, a shampoo and a soap along with a mini toothpaste and a brush. The rooms were very well decorated. It was mix of both uzbeki and somehow Russian architect. 🇺🇿🇮🇳 long live India Uzbekistan relationship. Jimmy Jimmy 💕
The property was fairly well-kept, with a nice outdoor swimming pool, that might need more frequent cleaning.
We stayed in a triple room, which was spacious and pretty comfortable. A/C was very efficient and quiet compared to other hotels we stayed in during our Uzbekistan trip.
Breakfast was good, I’d say average. Could be more varied but as a family-business it was more than enough.
Staff was mainly friendly, though not very talkative.
The receptionists Chikku and Delia were so nice and helpful. The location is perfect, few minutes walk to Registan square. The hostel is clean and the cute lounge area is comfortable to hang out at. This place was recommended to me by friends who's stayed here last year and I recommended it to a fellow traveller I met in Bukhara. Would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone who visits Uzbekistan (especially the solo travellers).
Isfandiyor Hotel offers a delightful stay in Uzbekistan. With its modern amenities, comfortable rooms, and friendly staff, it's a fantastic choice for travelers seeking convenience and relaxation. The central location makes it easy to explore nearby attractions, while the cozy atmosphere feels like a home away from home. Overall, a wonderful option for a memorable stay in Uzbekistan.
Wonderful stay in Samarkand! Anvar and his family took really great care of me. Everything was kept to the standard of a hotel, but had the warmth and welcome of a family home. Beautiful guest house with the most silent and peaceful courtyard. Breakfast was very tasty, with many nice options. Room itself was comfy, spacious, and quiet.
Can't wait to be back!
AMAZING space and incredibly kind staff. The breakfasts were the best, most heartwarming meals we had throughout our time in Uzbekistan, and the courtyard was such an oasis. We were so happy to spend hours relaxing in the courtyard in the late afternoons, getting away from the heat. We're so glad we stayed here, and highly recommend!
The guy at reception (don’t know his name) was exceptional. His english level is surprising knowing you cant really get around with english in Uzbekistan. He let me stay until 14:00 on the day of departure and he was so humble he didn’t want to accept payment for it. Some people really make difference. Thank you very much!
This was the most beautiful room I stayed in in Uzbekistan. It was even better than the 4 star hotels where I paid 2 times the price. The staff is very kind, and helped me book a taxi when I first landed even though I had some problems at the airport. They even provided snacks and coffee.
The kindness of the staff is heart warming and helpfull and the position is absolutely excellent; the place is quiet and the breakfast is abundant and of good quality; we could also pay with card, something not to be taken for granted in Uzbekistan. Overall very nice experience.
The very helpful staff down to their rooms are superb! I would recommend this hotel especially for those first timers that would visit uzbekistan, this hotel would be a great help as they speak english well and they will also help you locate those places youd like to go to.
This small hotel is within short walking distance from Amir Temur Mausoleum. The family run the place has big rooms with excellent and 100% working facilities. The staff was super helpful and the breakfast was good. Next time in Samarkand, this will be my first choice.
Uzbekistan is one of the best holiday destination I’ve ever been the food is amazing people very helpful and kind Everything was great in the hotel special thanks to Asad Baik at the reception was very helpful
Staff was amazing. Like the people in general in Uzbekistan: super kind. no word to describe it.
the hotel is perfectly located: 5 mins walk maximum from the infamous Registan!
This city is a gift of god.
Hotel Dilnura is a family business. The hosts were so nice, they prepared the best breakfast we had in Uzbekistan. We felt like home and I am looking forward to coming back. Warm regards!
