We recently had the pleasure of staying at KAILASH BOUTIQUE HOTEL in Thamel, Kathmandu, a true gem nestled in a vibrant location. From the clean, comfortable rooms to the exquisite cuisine (better than the local restaurants we visited!), every aspect of our stay was designed for relaxation and delight. However, what truly set our experience apart was the extraordinary presence of the manager, Dol. From the moment we arrived, Dol exuded warmth, kindness, and an unmistakable passion for hospitality. With decades of experience as a trekking guide, his vast knowledge and resourcefulness was evident in every interaction. His mastery of professionalism, practicality, good sense and great humour is rare even in 5-star deluxe hotel managers. There are many excellent hotel managers out there, but Dol goes above and beyond what can be learned. He welcomed us not merely as guests, but as friends, and he made us feel like our comfort and well-being were among his highest priorities. His genuine care helped make our our stay a memorable journey of discovery and delight. Dol's wisdom and generous spirit provided not only exceptional service but also an inspiring reminder of the beauty of human connection. Located right in the city center, the hotel made sightseeing easy. Despite being in such a busy area, the room was silent and calm. The design inside was modern and clean, matching the online photos.

Charikot Downtown is well located and the room was very clean. Meanwhile, the management and staff ensured I felt at hone throughout my stay. It is a small town but everyone nearby respects management which gives additional weight to the services the hotel provides. Finally, the food from the kitchen here was without a doubt the best in town. My only regret was that I did not try it sooner.

This is a gem of a place! The views are lovely, staff are incredible, and rooms are lovely. An added plus was all the onground activities they offer (like the tour of the village and nearby hikes). We really enjoyed our stay, I will definitely be coming back next time I'm in Nepal.

The hotel was in a very peaceful place. The rooms were cosy and comfy. I got very sound sleep. The view of the lake was breathtaking. Everything was perfect. The staffs were so Nice to me.

Location is just right for Thamel. Facialities are new and in good working order. staff were very helpful and attentive. They will hold luggage free of charge

Food was fabulous. Everything we ordered was beyond expectations. Staff felt like visiting family. Music and dancing on the roof top wrapped by the Annapurna mountains memorable. Can’t wait to go back.

Mr B’s Place, mere steps from Bardiya National Park, is run by a lovely family. It would not be enough to say that the rooms are clean and comfortable, that the food is fresh,delicious and cooked to order when you wish and that the walking safari and the jeep safari are exciting and fun. It is the people that make the difference. The staff is friendly and attentive, ready to help and make your stay just right. Special thanks to Dipok, our jeep safari driver and especially to Loken our knowledge guide who not only made our two safari days special and filled with unique experiences but also took such good care of us during our 4 day stay. Thank you also to Bibek who welcomed us and helped us find a mechanic for our motorcycle malfunction. Highly recommend Mr B’s place for your time in Bardiya. We left our hearts.
