At first I was a bit sceptical booking this hotel after reading some of the reviews. But honestly our stay was lovely. I booked the hotel for me and my daughter as we were going to Harry Potter world, which is about 10 minutes drive! So location was just perfect. In a lovely quiet location with beautiful gardens surrounding it. The guy on reception who checked us in was honestly so so nice and pleasant(sorry can’t remember his name) a credit to the hotel! Room was beautiful and super clean! We didn’t eat at the hotel so can’t comment on that but the breakfast smelt lovely! My little girl wanted to try the pool which again I was really sceptical after reading the bad reviews- but it really isn’t as bad as people say! Ye it does need a bit of an update but I have seen worse leisure centre’s! The pool was lovely and warm and we had it all to ourselves :) Overall we had a wonderful stay and I would recommend this hotel and definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved the grounds and gardens the hotel had around the property! It was so beautiful and peaceful to spend a kid free parent get away. The golf course is so wonderful and really great prices.

A very nice little hotel on the High Street of St Albans, which despite our very short sojourn there looked like a really nice town. Despite the historic nature of the building, amenities are modern and well-maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly, which is not always the case in the UK. Highly recommended.
