A hidden gem in a beautiful mountain village. We booked this last minute as a stopover for one night and regretted not staying longer. A small, cozy, family run hotel. The staff were really helpful and pleasant. The food was delicious and the ambience was very relaxing. You cant go wrong with this lovely hotel.

Hotel Rural Monte da Provença is a small 4-star charm hotel located within 7.5 km from the centre of Elvas. The unit is inserted in tranquil surrounding and features an outdoor pool, garden, wine cellar and a bar. Beautiful settings, with wonderful garden and views, a large pool, enormous suites, warm, clean and comfortable rooms, and all beautifully decorated. Dinner was excellent and breakfast was large and high quality. A rural country hotel that surprised us.

The Estalagem de Marvão is located within the historic walled town center of Marvão. This restored property has comfortable rooms in an ancestral environment in the Portuguese Interior and includes a shop selling regional products. Staff was excellent. Location was superb. Would gladly go back there.

Located in the heart of historical Portalegre, Rossio Hotel is a themed eco-friendly, design hotel, which features solar panels, UTA units in the rooms and reuses rainwater for several purposes. The hotel comes with a sun terrace overlooking the city and mountain ranges. room was very good and quiet with a good bathroom, Breakfast was excellent, and the receptionist was very nice and supper helpful I will definitely stay there again.

Each has a flat-screen TV and an en suite with a spacious shower. Some come with a balcony. Excellent hotel with a wonderful view of the Marvao castle and overlooking a river. The room was large and comfortable with an excellent shower. We had a veranda and view. The continental breakfast had an option for eggs and there were local sweets to try. The location is good to explore Marvao and the nearby area. Parking was very easy on the street behind the hotel.
