Bathrooms include a free-standing tub as well as free toiletries. The view from our room was amazing. The staff were amicable and professional. We took the boat tour on the Douro, which was relaxing and scenic. We would definitely go back again to the Octant Douro.

Free in-room Wi-Fi is available. The place is fantastic, better than we expected! Great staff and warm welcoming, they service us their homemade excellent port when we arrived. The room is very spacious and charming with elegant antique furnitures, great atmosphere! The dinner was amazing! Great food and wine, they were very kind to serve us with another pre-drink of port, lots of great red wine during the dinner and with a 40years port after dinner. Breakfast is also nice and fresh! This charming property is located on a vineyard in the heart of the Douro region, a UNESCO world natural heritage site near the cities of Régua and Lamego. She was ready to make us feel like in home. Also helping with recomendation for visiting the surrondings. The place is absolutely gorgeous if what you are looking for is a natural, relaxed atmosphere. We really liked the common breakfast table that gave us many good opportunities to speak to other guests - the breakfast is buffet style but has all you need incl fruit and fresh juice. You are free to roam the grounds and pick fruit to eat and you have several wineyards within 2km distance. The rooms were really quirky and good size, very clean and with a lot of small details. If you rent with kitchen you have all you need to cook or simply make your European style picknick dinner on the balcony with view to hawks and smaller birds flying overhead. The old rockwalls and modern isolated windows let you sleep in complete silence so make sure you leave a small crack in the old wooden blinds so that the sun will wake you up. We loved the fresh pool after the hot daytrips and you can buy cold wine from local wineyards in the reception if you forgot to bring some home for an evening glass.

The stay includes a tour of the process and degustation of wine.
