The staff was very friendly and the room was well-kept even though it was very dated. It was also a bit roomier than most motel rooms. Parking was great right in front of your door, but that's how it always is at motels like this.

Perth is a typical north American town it is has most of its original buildings and nice wide roads. All the people we came into contact with were extremely polite and friendly(like most Canadians). Perth is quite small and can be covered in a day or two but is well situated for Ottawa and other places of interest. It made an enjoyable base for our trip and I recommend a visit

There's not much to not like about Perth.
There's not much to not like about Perth. It has managed to keep its 'old world' charm but at the same time be very accommodating to every day life today. There are a number of restaurants and bars to help spend a relaxing evening, or just walk the friendly streets. A 'must' stop' as part of any visit to Eastern Ontario.
Greàt, beautiful preserved architecture, heritage bldgs(Town hall, Museum, Codes Mill shops lcomplex) ,storefronts on Gore street and nearby homes too on almost every down town street!!. beautiful Stewart Park with flowers, bridges and use of rock outcroppings for plantings and very majestic mature trees. Dry piled rock bridge on mill st. is a sight to behold ; as well as the dry piled rock fences next door. Lots good Gore st.restaurants , shops, patios ; ànd nearby cafes on the canal or overlooking the park or tay river. COFFEE from Coutts Coffee & Roastery Shop.(fresh custom ground or blended) is to die for! Checkout the Rapids on the Tay upstream above the dry Rock Bridge. We had excellent schnitzel at Maximillian's and great Mexican at Mex-E-Co overlooking the canal. Everything Is walkable in the historic downtown . Suggest parking in one of the town parking lots by the library or crystal palace. All the fast food spots are located up on the highway area.

Perth a a typical old Ontario Town with a great deal of heritage hidden away in older buildings.. The central part of the Town has many small shops to stroll through along with a variety of eating places to suite most anyone. If it is the more modern shopping / eating places you wish to visit they are only a short drive to the edge of Town. In addition to this there is a nice large park where you can stroll by the pleasant stream or sit and watch the clouds roll by. For the more energetic there are a variety of hiking trails to choose from

Silver Lake Provincial Park has a great sandy beach for swimming and camping.
Purdon Conservation Park has beautiful wild orchids during June(only).
Kiwi Gardens is a large gardening centre with beautifully landscaped gardens.
Lanark County is famous for its Maple Syrup and Wheeler's maple syrup & pancake centre is the best.
Farmer's market Saturday morning in Perth is small but intimate & friendly. Very friendly inhabitants typical of small town Ontario.
On the outskirts of Perth, but an easy walk to Perth Brewery, and the laundromat. Downtown Perth was still within walking distance. As was the Perth Distillery, if you stopped for supper enroute :)
Downtown Perth holds a farmer's market in the main park, which is by the "iron bridge", and the second (IMHO) better brewery.
The room was large, and clean. Hanging space near door for coats, and more.
Staff were nice.
There is a nearby mall with Loblaws, LCBO n more.
Everything was really nice and super clean!
Room was very spacious and fortunately without carpet.
Wifi worked perfectly.
The motel is well located. There are some fast food restaurants around as Tim Hortons and Wendy’s.
The way to downtown is easy and short and Perth is really a cute city.
Totally can recommend this Motel! 👍
the whole thing ! very spacious hotel. Huge entrance, a piano, fire & big comfy sofas to relax on. A patio with ample seating available and access to the park & town. Rooms were amazing, so big with 2 queen beds , TV , microwave & refreshments. Breakfast was just the right size with choice of hot or cold food.
My parents enjoyed their stay here for their 36th anniversary. They told me that Linda was such a wonderful host. She took the time to leave them a happy anniversary note and they loved the little attention to the small details. Thank you so much for making their stay in Perth so memoriable~
Nice clean room. a/c was nice and cold. Everything you would need is within walking distance. Staff is very friendly and accommodative and best of all the Perth brewery is right next door !!!!! I highly recommend this motel and will be staying here for my next trip to Perth.
Very clean and renovated motel with clean, comfortable and well-appointed Queen rooms. The hosts (owners) are very friendly, welcoming and helpful. A great place to stay (with reasonable rates) while exploring the Perth area. Highly recommended!
Esther at the front desk gave us a warm and friendly welcome and was always willing to help us sort out anything we were looking for. The hotel swimming pool is lovely, clean and well maintained and the booked times for swims worked out well
The staff was very friendly and the room was well-kept even though it was very dated. It was also a bit roomier than most motel rooms. Parking was great right in front of your door, but that's how it always is at motels like this.
The owners were so personable with lots of local information and were able to share so much history of both the hotel itself and the town. The breakfast was amazing. Excellent presentation and it was delicious too.
Very clean. Rooms are renovated with modern interiors and newer furniture, bright and sleek style not what I would expect to see in motels. Staff are also very accommodating and friendly.
The room was updated and very clean. Overall the Colonial exceeded our expectations for a drive up motel. We were pleasantly surprised. Just what we needed for our short visit to Perth.
