Nice small room with modern bath, we had a small balcony with flower boxes. Really quiet. Very good restaurant on premises. Excellent breakfast!! Free and easy parking. You need the GPS to find the hotel, but it is well worth it.

The albergo's location and history were wonderful, as was its cleanliness. It is a period piece that easily accommodates today's traveler (though there is understandably no elevator). What we greatly appreciated the most, however, were the courtesy and hospitality of the owner: a gracious and helpful sculptor and art teacher whose family has owned the property for generations.
The hotel garni Santa Caterina is on of the first hotels on the shores of Lake Orta, a short walk from the center of Orta San Giulio. It offers a pleasant garden, and free snacks in the lounge.
