Fabio recommended eating at the Kilt Italian restaurant. First class Italian food. Overall, I can highly recommend this.

Fosano is a little village in Piedmont; there isn't much to do there but what is great is that it's very well connected to the wine areas (Barolo and Barbaresco) so then you can rent a car and travel around.
Its close to Alba / Bra and all the possible nearby locations such as Barolo and all the rest in Piedmont - great location to be outside of the towns but still close to all ( needs a car of course )
The on-off bus tour in Torino is excellent... but skip line B. Line A and C are fantastic. Line C is the royal palace grounds. I also recommend walking around. You will find so much! Pair this up with a Piedmont card and you'll be good to go! I got into so many museums and castles, it was fantastic.
Absolutely beautiful, world class city with fantastic food scene...wonderful restaurants, enotecas, and cafes with locally sourced, traditional Piedmont cuisine. Great shopping and cultural activities as well. Easy to get around on foot, by bike or public transportation. Wide flat streets make for good walking everywhere. Great art and architecture, parks, outdoor markets, and churches too. Especially liked the Egyptian museum, the church of San Lorenzo, Palazzo Madama, and strolling the many lovely piazzas. Don't miss Mulassano for coffee and tramezzini, as well as Bicerin and Cafe Torino for their historical elegance. Consorzio or Tre Galli both fabulous for dinner.
We visited primarily for the Salone del Gusto and stayed in the old town. Fun city and a great place to start out if you want to explore Piedmonte. Lots of history and some very good food
I ended up in Susa because it's where my great grandparents were from, so it was a bit of a genealogical pilgrimage (and nice to be in a city filled with Rivettis!). The fact that it turned out to be one of the most beautiful and interesting places I've seen in Italy (and I've been all over) was just plain lucky. Susa has seen lots of action over the years because of its strategic location in a valley passage through the Alps between Italy and France. Because of that, it has architectural and cultural treasures from many cultures and all periods, all the way back to Ancient Rome, the Middle Ages, the Savoy dynasty, etc. Beautiful scenery, beautiful ruins, beautiful churches, lots of delicious food, and I just loved the energy of this town: quiet but not boring. Side trips we took included one to Sacra di San Michele, the abbey built into the top of a mountain on which Umberto Eco is said to have based his abbey in The Name of The Rose. It is the symbol of Piedmont and one of my top 5 do not miss sights in all of Italy, We also visited the little town of Mattie (where my family is specifically from). Very fascinating and friendly little village up a winding mountain road. The people in this area are very happy to meet visitors from the United States (doesn't seem like they get many). These are the places you won't hear about when you're planning a vacation to Italy, so I feel like my family history handed me a real gift with these towns. Highly, highly recommend.
The historical centre is small, yet has a clear sight of Roman and Medieval times. There are a lot of churches in the area, all of which have distinctive styles and of course all are beautiful. The town's museum although small, yet has a unique collection of antiquities, excavated items from the town, showing the town history since neolithic period. The underground tour is also recommended for those who love history. On the other hand, Alba (as well as many other towns in Piedmonte) is famous for the wine. Also, it's the capital, the hometown of Nutella, so what do you expect?
Alba is a small town with great restaurants and an excellent base for touring Piedmont hill town so of Barola, La Morra, Trieso, Neive, etc. The town is very walkable with sidewalk cafes on the many squares
Great base for exploring Piedmonte. Just be ready for angst-creating crazy drivers, scooters, motorcycles, and don't rely on Garmin's Europe maps/directions.
A very clean lake city with many good restaurants. It is within an hour's ride of the Milan Airport and offers modern, deluxe hotels among Italy's antiquity. There are many outdoor restaurants within the "centro" piazzas. All are excellent and offer traditional Italian favorites as well as food typical of the lake and Piedmontese region There are boats that cruise the lake and are easily available to guests of the Stresa hotels.
La Morra
This accommodation is an apartment in the village of La Morra. The rooms are spotless and the kitchen is equipped with everything needed to prepare meals—the owner has even generously supplied coffee. Bonus—we were surprised to find a washing machine just at a time in our travels that we needed to do laundry. We were also pleased that off-street parking is available. It would be a cozy place for an extended stay as a base in the Piedmont region.
Alba
The property, owner, and staff are all incredible! We had the suite and it was enormous and well appointed. The property is amazing, we loved walking around in the mornings and evenings! Easy drive to Alba, Barbaresco, Neive and many other great Piedmont villages. 100% our favorite place we have ever stayed in Italy.
Peaceful Modern spacious design Views
This is a great hotel, clean, modern and friendly.
It's a beautiful place, lovely rooms (158 & 159) whereas 159 is a superior suite, very spacious and comfortable, 10 out of 10. We loved the stay and especially the food from the restaurant on the premises. The truffle menu was exquisite. The surroundings are very nice too, we went for walks, visited some surrounding towns and the more touristic Asti + Alba. This lace is for you when you like a quiet place, away from crowds and high volume places / people. It's truly a place to relax, drink (wine) and eat great food. Their wine museum and "walk thru" wine cellar is a really nice feature. One can easily stay a day or two without doing anything or going anywhere. All you need is a good book or something to read/study and the rest is and will be provided. Nature, food, wine, tranquility,....just relax and enjoy!
Welcoming staff offered us a vino and apertifs on arrival! Very helpful staff. Highly recommended!
Great lakeside hotel, old fashioned design, but spacious rooms, 25m swimming pool in the garden and direct access to the lake from the garden.
Great location on the lake in charming Orta San Giulio.
In one word AMAZING! A very beautifull hotel, with an amazing athmosphere, on a very special location, with a very very friendly and customer orientated staff. A beautifull room, with quality bed, and all possible amendenties. A perfect dinner (tasted and looked like the best michelin starred restaurant). And a perfect in room breakfast! Nothing more to wish for, and for sure will come back to this hotel!
Beautiful well maintained property with great staff and the onsite Michelin start restaurant makes it just the perfect stay. Car is highly recommend to be able to drive around in the area.
Great location, amazing atmosphere, very nice staff :-)
Gorgeous setting and helpful staff.
Staff, cleanliness, excellent choice and quantity at breakfast. €15 inclusive four course dinner was excellent and more than one should eat.
Perfect place to take some rest. The host is very friendly and room / bathroom was very clean. Breakfast us Italian standard. Would stay here again.
Location is great. Minutes away from Canelli and still well isolated, with fantastic views on surrounding hills. Relaxing effect is immediate. Modern facilities, still well integrated with the landscape and harmonious. Polite and helpful staff.
A fantastic hotel which we absolutely loved staying in. Beautiful location, excellent facilities, and with very welcoming and attentive staff. Food and wine always excellent.
We enjoyed a dinner in the hotel's restaurant of typical dishes with wine pairings from Tenuta Montemagno. The meal was very good value and delicious.
Location unica in un ambiente naturale
This is a wonderful place. Everything is thought carefully to provide a great experience for families with children.
Lovely relaxed feel and very high quality
