Located 18 km from the Iguazú Falls UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Iguazú is an Argentinean town situated near the Brazilian border, in the Province of Misiones. Its compact city centre is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops, while the area is well-known for its red soil and lush vegetation.
The stunning falls comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km between Argentina and Brazil. They have a maximum height of 80 metres and a water flow that can be three times superior to that of the Niagara Falls.
The Guaraní natives named the falls ‘iguazú’, meaning ‘big water’. The national park was founded in 1907, and some of the best hotels in Puerto Iguazú are located in the road linking the city centre to the falls. Some hotels on the Argentinean side of the waterfalls offer beautiful views.
The local bus station offers links to several long-distance destinations, including Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The city is served by Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport, while the Brazilian Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is 16 km away.
Whether you need a backpacker hostel, a hotel near the airport, or a 5-star resort, don’t miss the Puerto Iguazú deals available on Booking.com!
Amazing bucket list experience! We went later in the day and rode the boat ride that took us practically right next to the falls! Truly awe-inspiring and something that all should experience. Prices are great. Be prepared for the steps down, and then back up!...to and from the boats - it's a bit of a climb. Didn't get to do much else at the park - if there is a next time, we will go earlier to get the full experience!

Very disappointed.
Very disappointed. Spent time and money to get to this part of Argentina to see these falls and we saw very little due to over tourism. It was so crowded you were elbow to elbow, face to face and some times wheel chairs running over your feet so they can get by. It was terrible. What a way to ruin 1 of the 7 wonders.

I loved the Falls, especially the Argentina side.
I loved the Falls, especially the Argentina side. This was also our chance to visit Paraguay. There were some nice restaurants nearby. The weather was terribly hot and humid. We didn’t stay long at either Park because it was too hot and crowded in the morning. The sidewalks in Puerto Iguasu are terrible.

The property is very good value for money - the cheapest night we’ve had in South America in 5 months!
The location is on the edge of Puerto Iguazú but restaurants and supermarkets are within walking distance, as is the bus stop to the falls on the Argentinian side, and Brazil, and also to Paraguay.
It was really nice having the smart tv in the bedroom for relaxing in the evening.
The hosts were very friendly, responsive and spoke good English.
The staff were friendly and helpful, but bear in mind the best thing about this hotel is the location. It is nothing special, it has comfortable beds and okay bathrooms. Breakfast was fine at best. It's on one of the main roads that has street vendors and restaurants (as do many of the cross streets nearby) and is directly in front of the bus station, which made for easy transportation to and from the waterfalls and airport!
Room was large and comfortable with good aircon. Enjoyed the pool ( it was very hot when we were there!) and the pool table. Breakfast was good. Best of all was the owner, Pablo. He was very helpful on info in Puerto Iguazua and getting to both sides of the falls. His english was also excellent! He let us have a very late check out as no one was coming into our room that day. Thank you Pablo for all!
The hostel is five minutes by walking away from the Bus Terminal that will take you to and from the airport, Brasil and the waterfalls.
The hostel is perfectly clean and the staff was really nice and helped me with my bookings. When there was an issue with a booking they even sent the money I paid them to my next hostel.
For this price it is certainly the best option in Puerto Iguazú! 10/10
Great location, nearby restaurants, bus stops, taxi stands within easy walking distance. A Tienda just across the street from the apartment. Bus terminal close for easy trips to Iguazu Falls Argentina/Brazil and the three fronter obelisks. Comfortable apartment. The host brought a satchel to us, left behind while checking out, at the bus station! Wonderful service.
- Lovely rooms with comfy beds
- The hotel staff were super helpful in organising trips to the waterfalls
- The restaurant served the best steak we ate in 7 weeks in South America
- The hotel had construction work which the hotel had made super clear when we booked but it was a holiday when visited so they were not working
Nice hotel with great and clean room. The tv had also English chanels. It is located near the city center, few blocks away from the bus station. Restaurants and shops are in walking distance. The outside area of the hotel is beautiful. We will definitely stay again here when we visit Puerto Iguazu again.
Everything you need in a hotel/resort
Clean, spacious, swimming pool, the room smelt of a clean linen fragrance so beautiful, and the person who hosted us was very professional and helpful. Hope in my next trip to Argentina, will come to spend more time in the same place. Thank you
Balcony of the rooms is truly in the jungle. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the pool was the perfect temp. Hotel restaurant was surprisingly awesome- best food we found in Iguazú by far. Taxi service coordinated by desk is awesome.
My wife booked this hotel for 3 nights in a standard double room on her trip to Uruguay and Argentina.
Positive:
- Breakfast is good. Offers good variety.
- The location of the hotel is good, a good 10 min walk to the centre
Breakfast was fine -- mostly bread, but that's to be expected in Argentina. Simple, but comfortable room. Nice patio to relax after a long day of walking around the falls. Close to the main strip of restaurants and bars.
Breakfast was good. Loved all the fresh fruit and sweets. Liked everything about the hotel and the staff at the front desk were so helpful with recommendations for things to do and where to eat.
It was a quick trip to the bus station to get to Uguazu Falls. Restaurants were a short walk away. They provided a nice breakfast. The family that operates the hotel were sweat.
The hotel is great and in an excellent location in the jungle. The staff is helpfull and kind. Easy to reach waterfalls on both Argentinian and Brazilian sides.
I like the whole environment, the idea to have the hotel close by one of greatest falls in the world with the facilities provided by the hotel it was great
