Everything!!! Location, views, food & enjoying the Inferior-d1 & Superior-d2 trails virtually to ourselves at the 08:00 park opening! ALL of the staff were dedicated to our having an excellent experience, and we did!! Particularly Mr. Derlis, our Ecologia driver, who safely, in some crazy Paraguayan rush-hour traffic, drove us the 2+ hours from Guarani Airport, Ciudad del Este, to the Gran Malia and back again 2 days later, with a 3 hour stop at the equally beautiful Brazil NP. Indebted to Derlis for expertly navigating us seamlessly through the 8 border crossings. Highly recommend the Gran Malia Iguazu & our driver Derlis of Ecologia (operating from the Gran Malia). Both were worth the premium paid, and the Cataratas del Iguazu are simply amazing!!! Thanks everyone for a fantastic 2 days, we should have stayed 4!!!

Located 18 km from the Iguazú Falls UNESCO World Heritage Site, Puerto Iguazú is an Argentinean town situated near the Brazilian border, in the Province of Misiones. Its compact city centre is packed with restaurants, cafés and shops, while the area is well-known for its red soil and lush vegetation.
The stunning falls comprise 275 individual falls spread over 3 km between Argentina and Brazil. They have a maximum height of 80 metres and a water flow that can be three times superior to that of the Niagara Falls.
The Guaraní natives named the falls ‘iguazú’, meaning ‘big water’. The national park was founded in 1907, and some of the best hotels in Puerto Iguazú are located in the road linking the city centre to the falls. Some hotels on the Argentinean side of the waterfalls offer beautiful views.
The local bus station offers links to several long-distance destinations, including Rio de Janeiro and Buenos Aires. The city is served by Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport, while the Brazilian Foz do Iguaçu International Airport is 16 km away.

The water falls are totally amazing , take your time and allow a full whole day for both sides
Did not have the time to go through the town itself.
Booking.com arranged the taxi as part of the deal, this was a problem for me as there was a swap of cars at the boarder that was very worrying , not clear and to be honest i though we was going to something bad to happen. I would suggest you make sure you have a taxi that takes you from door to door. this des work fine as we had a taxi take us direct from the jungle lodge to the airport on our return to home.

Definitely recommend staying at Puerto Iguazú when visiting the waterfalls. I've been to the nearby town in Brasil too (Foz do Iguaçu) and it didn't seem as nice. In Puerto Iguazú you have all you need: a conveniently located bus terminal with many buses (some also cross the border, check the timetable in advance), a launderette, farmacy, nightlife with nice restaurants for any budget.
The only hard thing was cash withdrawal. I solved it by exchanging some of my cash into Argentinian pesos.
You should visit both the Argentinian and Brasilian sides of the waterfalls.
On the Argentinian side, be aware that there's an independent company in the waterfalls park which organises boat trips which need to be booked in advance (if you're interested in a boat trip).
In Brasil, you should also visit Parque Das Aves and the huge Itaipú dam.
Allow ~4 days in total, it will be beautiful!

Amazing bucket list experience!
Amazing bucket list experience! We went later in the day and rode the boat ride that took us practically right next to the falls! Truly awe-inspiring and something that all should experience. Prices are great. Be prepared for the steps down, and then back up!...to and from the boats - it's a bit of a climb. Didn't get to do much else at the park - if there is a next time, we will go earlier to get the full experience!

Very disappointed.
Very disappointed. Spent time and money to get to this part of Argentina to see these falls and we saw very little due to over tourism. It was so crowded you were elbow to elbow, face to face and some times wheel chairs running over your feet so they can get by. It was terrible. What a way to ruin 1 of the 7 wonders.
The place is situated in the beautiful place where it is calm and you can enjoy nature. There are a river and lots greenery near the hotel so staying there you can appreciate all these benefits. The hotel is in the quite warm place so weather was enough warm during all our staying there. There is a swimming pool at the territory. And if you want to swim or just relax near the swimming pool you can do it easily. At the same time there is an opportunity to have a breakfast and dinner in the hotel so it is a good chance to use this opportunity.
This was an absolutely stunning and perfect hotel. It was our first night In Argentina and it lived up to every expectation. But most importantly Pablo was so helpful. Without him, our trip would not have run anywhere near so smoothly! The breakfast is so fresh and delicious! In an ideal location. What an absolute find! Can’t recommend enough
The family run hotel was in excellent location near bus terminal to Iguazu Falls and to the airport. The staff were helpful, excellent and allowed us to change rooms when there was an issue with our original room. The pool was a wonderful refresher in the heat and humidity. Excellent restaurant and wonderful owners.
Nico was excellent, both in advance of and during our stay. He was v communicative and booked our hotel pick up and Brazil side of the falls tour with a reliable driver. The hotel is v well located, just across from the bus station and walking distance from local restaurants and bars. Our room was nice and quiet.
Big room and bathroom quite dated but nice enough. Good value for money and good location for the falls. Great hotel staff and taxi service super friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean.
