This is a family run Sporthotel in an authentic Austrian village. The pleasant wood panel ambient is typical for a mountain stay. I liked the friendliness of the staff, the morning buffet, the sauna with a small pool and the immediate proximity of a bus stop bringing me to the very close ski slopes of Muttereralm (2 more ski resorts are accessible by busses). The hotel is a couple of minutes away from a Stubaitaltram stop bringing you down per rail to the City of Innsbruck (a very scenic tram ride). This is important, as it allows you to go out in the evenings. Overally, the price per night was very fair and I would come back to this hotel. It is a very suitable spot for people not really looking for crowded and noisy late night Après-Ski.
The Activehotel Bergkönig enjoys a central yet quiet location in the heart of Neustift in the Stubai Valley and 11 mi from Stubai Glacier. The hotel features table tennis in summer.

Very comfortable all around. Ample parking, amenities are top quality, staff is attentive and professional. Breakfast and dinner daily were delicious with a huge selection. Nice wine list as well.
The spa amenities were beautiful and well cared for. The pride of ownership and service is evident in every aspect of this family hotel.

The region is perhaps better known for skiing, but it's also a great summer destination.
I recommend zipping down the Serles on the summer sled track, but be prepared to queue for a while (or try to arrive very early). You can walk up or take the Serlesbahnen lift up. There's a fun little water park at the top, and some very nice (also family-friendly) hikes for example to Maria Waldrast, where there is a fountain with allegedly healing waters.
Schlick 2000 is an obvious peak to visit and walk around, but the Elfer opposite it also has a lot to offer (if you like hiking, try the trail that goes to Pinnisalm about an hour away - there are amazing views into the quiet inner valley along the way). It's also quite mesmerizing to watch the paragliders take off from the Elfer.
The Stubai glacier is incredibly popular. If you are relying on the bus to get there, prepare for a quite full bus.
About the buses in general: you can't get everywhere by bus, and sometimes the buses to the glacier or Innsbruck are very crowded. I would welcome it if there were more buses, and routes that lead to some of the side valleys.

This place is fantastic.
This place is fantastic. There are so many beautiful places to visit in the area: many mountains with amazing hikes, lakes and pools to swim in, playgrounds for kids, good restaurants and cafes. Innsbruck is great too.

Beautiful and relaxing valley.
Beautiful and relaxing valley. Many activities and nature spots within easy reach: Mountain slide, cable cars, playgrounds, nature walks, waterfalls, glacier, rope park, swimming pool and water slides, and more. There are some great savings on activities included in the Stubai card. Suitable selection of groceries for the self sufficient traveler. A short drive to Innsbruck for big-city services, and to attractions in and around the Inn valley.

We had a nice room with an exceptional view of the mountains, the breakfast was perfect with a ton of variety of foods, all fresh and delicious. The spa is not huge but all of the services were provided perfectly.
This is a hotel where you can feel that the people working here know how to serve a guest and they do their best to make their guest's stay the best. Huge thank you for making our stay perfect, we heavily missed a good vacation for quite a long time.
My husband and I were really happy and satisfied with the hotel. We booked the hotel mainly for the services and wellness and it met our expectatipns. There were 4 saunas - all in great conditions and in full function. There was a pool - a bit cold but great for swimming. Hotel room was clean and big with a great lodgia and amazing view. We had dinner and it was delicious. We definetly recommnd the hotel. Dont hesitate!
The location is a little bit far from the city center, but still convenient. People can take a train (its name is STB, one time per hour, the whole trip is almost one hour) in front of the main station of Innsbruck. The scene along the train trip is awesome!
The hotel experience exceeded my expectations because lots of negative comments can be found on Google Maps or Booking.
Excellent facility with pleasant hosts, attentive to details and to customer`s satisfaction. The house is nicely decorated. The view to the mountains from the room`s balcony is exceptional. Breakfast is sufficient. Hosts: husband is cooking excellent dinners. His wife is serving these dinners like in 5* hotels. The room is spacious and comfortable.
Breakfast was from cheapest way. I felt uncomfortable to find something to eat, cheapest bread, cheapest food, cheapest everything. Comparable with a Jugendherberge. But I expected a conservative good quality hotel actually. I guess in past it was a good hotel, but now it’s just from cheapest kind, old and not well groomed.
This hotel was outstanding, my room had the most gorgeous view of the mountains and was a cool loft design. I am so glad I booked here, the facilities in the hotel were also outstanding with very friendly and kind staff. I only had dinner in the hotel once but the food was great.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Bed was super comfy. Location was ideal for us, as we were looking for somewhere quiet and off the main track. Hotel was very quiet too, walls are nice and thick.
Lovely mountain view from the bed, free parking right next to the hotel, sauna included. Breakfast were okay but I would recommend to keep an eye on the warm buffet, because our eggs were cold.
clean, spacious room, even though during our visit the hotel was empty the breakfast buffet was ok, wellness was only for us…
