Easy, affordable, and clean. Self check-in was easy. The lobby was very nice and quiet. Our room was easy to find. It was like the photos and very clean. There's a great coffee shop at the gas station across the street.

Gabriele was really nice and welcoming to us, she made us feel at home. She could answer all of our questions and really looked after us. One day we were hiking, and she came for us with her car, so we wouldn't have to walk in the forest at night. She also gave us directions to our hikes, and was really helpful with everything. The place was also really comfortable with a nice garden, and beautiful view to the mountains.

    If you like hiking (not climbing), Hohentauern is the right place. There are some peaks to climb, but only up to 2500 metres altitude. Many streams and lakes make the hikes eventful. In winter there is a small skiing area and many routes for cross-country skiing and snowshoe hiking. Perfect place also for families with smaler kids.

    Everything was on 1*, it was pleasure to be there. I highly recommend this hotel! Breakfast was really amazing, we were looking forward every night for next morning, because when we opened the door, there was prepared for us really super quality breakfast.
